I was hoping to use this to connect both USB and a monitor to a computer using just one cable (not including charging, as none of my three laptops support USB-C power). No luck. The ONLY use of this adapter is to output HDMI while charging over the same USB-C port -- for some devices. Hooking up something besides a power adapter to the included USB-C jack did not work -- not a flash drive, USB hub, or wireless mouse dongle; it was just ignored. I tried this device with three laptops. The HDMI out worked fine on an older HP Zbook (mobile workstation) with an Intel processor. When plugged into a new Dell G5 gaming laptop, the HDMI also worked great. But with a new ASUS ZenBook featuring a Ryzen 5, it did not work at all, just giving an error (see attached picture). So, if you don't want to use this to transfer USB data, just use HDMI and charging, and your device is compatible, then you might be happy. Otherwise, steer clear.

It actually works really good when it wants too. There are times when it connects properly in one shot and other times I could only get a black screen with sound till I played with my phones graphics settings. Other than that the quality is really good and it's pretty cool playing mobile games on your tv

The device is easy to use and works well for enlarging a phone's screen. Streams of videos, movies, or TV shows come across dark to the receiving monitor. Belkin uses a brittle plastic. Be careful not to drop it or drop anything on it. I would recommend it for certain tasks.

Using it on my Surface Pro. Very good product if you don't need a full-fledged thunderbolt hub. It is not bulky, so it looks clean and also saves space on the desk. Successfully outputs 4k @ 60Hz. I do sometimes see, a glitch in the display. Can't say for sure if it's the adapter or the monitor [Acer CB282K]. Both are new, and I have not tested any of them with any other products. The additional USB-C port is only for charging. It won't support any SSD or any other device.

Didn't work as I had hoped, so in all fairness, my average review is more a statement that this product by Belkin just didn't work as I had expected. I was hoping to use this to hook up a Nintendo Switch and have it work similar to how the Switch Box does with the TV. Sadly, it didn't interrupt the switch to display video on my TV. So essentially, more of an issue with Nintendo and their proprietary dock than Belkin, BUT... if you're thinking of using this to do the same thing, it didn't work for me. Good luck! happy Gaming!

I originally ordered a similar product from a different brand for pick up, however, Best Buy was out of stock when I came to pick up so I was provided this as a replacement. I was happy to use it since it was cheaper than the original one I’d ordered. After a few weeks of light use for mostly homework, the USB-C charging port no longer worked. The other port still works which is why I gave 3 stars. I’ve just not had any success in getting the USB-C port to charge again, even after testing with several different cords.

Worked with my home TV but not while out using Samsung TV/Monitors. Returned and bought an open boxed Apple adapter which worked right away with the Samsung Monitors at the different locations I visit too.

Overall, works great. The one I got was defective, it would go out/disconnect at random times. Not often at first but then it got too often where it be game a annoyance to have to unplug it and then replay it, especially when watching a movie. Took it back and exchanged it for a genuine apple google. Now I have no problems.

It's too expensive for what it is, and too low power. For half the price on Amazon, I can get an HDMI + USB C dongle that will do 100w passthrough. This one maxes out at 60w, which isn't enough to charge higher-power laptops.

The HDMI to lightning port works fine (for connecting a monitor) but the 2nd charging port doesn’t work to charge an iPhone or anything else

A little too bulky so I switched to a smaller adapter. But this does the job

Doesn't work for a Motorola x which is the entire reason why I bought it. Works for pc just fine to houh

Does the job but too expensive in my opinion but I had no options at the time and my smart tv didn’t have airplay.

It does what it’s supposed to however the gloss finish scratches very easy and the unit feels a bit cheap.

Easy to set up on the computer, and makes it easy to connect

I used this for the Samsung laptop and it works. That’s all I can say about this.
