Coverage can be good or bad. When you spend a lot on electronics which can last forever or go out 2 years later after your basic warranty has ended it’s good to have extended coverage. Sometimes they never go out and you just pay the extra coverage to never use it. Better safe than sorry, as cliche as that is. I haven’t needed to use my Total Protection yet but I know as soon as I cancel it something will happen. That’s just how the universe works.

I have Used Best Buy total for 2yrs so far and have built 5PCs for friends and family with Geek Squads help. A single diagnosis of an issue is $150 so this membership pays for itself the 1st time you need something looked at. I will continue using it but the mileage will vary from person to person. If you are like me and know you will upgrade things from time to time then you will save lots of money over the years. I have saved over $2,000 so far but I build and upgrade PCs for my family. PC gaming is not getting any cheaper so decide if you want to risk working on it yourself or getting help. I am not ashamed to say I suck at diagnosing PC issues so I get more out of this regardless. Besides building PCs, Best Buy Total deals are pretty awesome and I usually wait for a deal before buying something.

I am a BIG fan of My Best Buy Total! I've had it from the very beginning and think it is worth every penny. I use my computer extensively for work and volunteering. Having access to Geek Squad by phone 24/7 is great! Whether I called with a problem in the afternoon or evening or 3:00 in the morning, a Geek Squad representative was there to help correct my problem and some of the calls lasted over an hour. They also taught me features about my computer. Just as important, I've always received outstanding customer service and treatment when I've gone to a Best Buy store for a Geek Squad appointment or to shop. Best of all, when I bought my newest computer at Best Buy, I didn't have to purchase a protection plan because it's already covered under my Best Buy Total membership. Like I said, it's worth every penny!

I have had the My Best Buy Total membership for the past three years (first got it with a TV and soundbar purchase), but renewed it ever since because of the savings and special offers I get as a member. Since that first year, I have had to purchase two laptops and a new iPad. Each of those come with the free two-year extended protection plans making the cost of this membership more than worth it. Plus, I love the Geek Squad’s expert help!

With two teenaged boys and a lot of technological needs, this membership has been a lifesaver! Not only have we purchased computers, gaming laptops, cameras, lens, monitors, and more, but knowing that the items are covered for repair is so comforting. Ehen my son's 1.5 year old gaming laptop started experiencing issues, we took it to the Geek Squad. It was sent out for repair, deemed replaceable, and with an $85 only charge, they replaced it with the brand new model of the same brand! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE MEMEBERSHIP!

If you’re someone with a lot of technology, this is the membership for you. It covers devices no matter if they were purchased from BestBuy or not! You also get a lot of perks like a $5 voucher every month that you can give to your kids to get a toy or something they like! Overall, this membership is the best if you have a lot of technology that happens to break often and wasn’t bought at BestBuy because they will still repair it!

Although I am able to write off this membership as a business expense, I'd buy it even if I couldn't write it off. This has saved my bacon SEVERAL times when I had problems with my various computers that I couldn't solve easily myself. Geek Squad technicians have installed drives, software, and done system checks for the cost of the annual subscription with no extra fees (unless I need parts). DEFINITELY worth it, even if you're a tech-bro!

I have bought many products from Best Buy, but the Total Tech Membership is amazing…with it I have that warm cozy feeling we all know and love of having a great warranty to protect your products. The Geek Squad is always, punctual, professional, courteous and knowledgeable and the quality of care they provide is top notch. When purchasing big items, delivery and at times installation is seamless, professional grade installs, clean up is immaculate, and customer care is top priority! I have always been able to fix PC problems on my own. But when my wife who is a gamer started having freeze ups in a a game I finally ran into a brick wall. I signed up for Best Buy Total to use the Geek Squad. I was impressed with their service. The techs are friendly and very skilled. I had not spent much time in Best Buy's for years, but using the Geek Squad I discovered that Best Buy has the best deals on electronics and appliances! I check out in store specials whenever I am there, and I like the emails on their deals. Staff is very friendly and NO pressure sales people. Plus they have a clean rest room!
