Produced by Marti Frederiksen and Buckcherry themselves, Black Butterfly further refines the band's blend of hard rock swagger, emotional vulnerability, and high-energy anthems.Musically, the album features a mix of aggressive, riff-driven rockers and more melodic, introspective ballads. Tracks like InchRescue MeInch and InchTalk to MeInch deliver powerful guitar work and explosive choruses, tapping into themes of personal struggle and emotional desperation. InchRescue Me, Inch in particular, was inspired by lead singer Josh Todd's reading of A Child Called 'It' by Dave Pelzer, and addresses the trauma of child abuse and the hope of redemption.
