Jerry Williams Jr. (A.K.A. Little Jerry, Jerry Williams), the incredibly prolific songwriter, producer, R&B artist, tag owner, and A&R man, has produced written and arranged for artists as diverse as Doris Duke, Irma Thomas, Arthur Conley, Gene Pitney, Z.Z. Hill, Dee Dee Warwick, Inez and Charlie Fox, Wilson Pickett, Conway Twitty, Little Richard, Joe Tex, Lightnin’ Slim, Loretta Lynn, Lulu, The Whispers, Gary US Bonds, Millie Jackson, Johnny Paycheck and countless others. William’s alter ego Swamp Dogg entered the market in 1970 with a debut album entitled “Total Destruction To Your Mind,” a gritty, swampy, psychedelic funk masterpiece which attracted a cult audience that is still growing to this day.
