LUCCA COLLECTION by Bloem: Plant, hang, sit back, and enjoy—the Lucca Round Hanging Basket is made of recyclable plastic and is 100% UV stable. Each basket comes with a macrame hanger with attached ring and an attached basin that can be filled with water for the plant to feed on once the root system is established. To start the plant, use convention top down watering techniques and then switch to bottom watering by filling the basin as needed for the roots to wick the water up. The fill spot is more subtle than traditional self-watering planters. Gone for a while? Good news: A self-watering planter is highly beneficial if you’re gone a few days because the plant does not require daily watering but instead depends on the water-filled reservoir to supply its needs.
