I've always had microphones that had an on/off switch. So I was surprised that this one didn't come with one since it's a higher quality than I'm used to. (Condenser mics not included in this statement) Anyway, this has a better range than a regular karaoke mic. It's good for the price. If you're going to sing with your garage band, this is perfect.

This microphone works well. It is a dynamic mic, so the singer has to get very close to the mic. All metal construction makes it a little heavy, but I'd rather have the extra weight than a fragile mike.
I conducted an interview directly infront of a DJ booth with music blaring! The mic picked up just the right audio that it needed to as the interview was going on. When I was told that I needed to do the interview right there and now. I really had no other choice than to pull this mic out and use it since both a boom mic and a lav would not function well under those conditions. This mic pulled trough and gave some incredible sounds.

Blue has a great name in mics. This mic proves why. This mic is low cost and reliable. Oh and it sounds great too! For recording or live sound, this mic is equally good. No hesitations here- I might just buy another!
