This works EXACTLY as it should. Length of flame is easily adjustable. Easy to light and has a Stay-On feature that is easy to turn off when you want it off. Safety switch so no accidental lighting. Simple to fill. Has a window to see remaining fuel level. Base (stand) is removable. Do be careful to NOT touch nozzle nor store torch immediately after use. Nozzle will be hot and could possibly start a fire. Allow time for nozzle to cool before storing! Overall great purchase, good price, good quality.

I have to hope the one I received was just defective. When I first started trying it out, I'm glad I did so with the torch facing my empty stainless steel sink. With it turned to its lowest setting, I pushed the little lever down & pushed the button. For a brief moment, I got a maybe 3-inch controlled flame, but that quickly turned into a 10-12 inch shooting uncontrolled flame, more like a flamethrower. After releasing the button it again returned briefly to the short controlled flame (though I would think it would have stopped all flame immediately after releasing the button).
