Icemaker did not work. Amana warrantee department could not get service techs to come out for 6 months two complaints still waiting. Its been ten months with a non working Fridge and no assistance and letters back and forth. DO NOT BUY AN AMANA.

I do not like this refrigerator at all. We purchased during a time when refrigerators were hard to find so we got what we could for the space we had. It’s much smaller than what we could have got or need. Definitely doesn’t hold enough food for a family of 6. On top of that, it scratches so easily. It scratches just from attaching the handles. Now the handles have cracked on the plastic where it attaches to the fridge. 9 months in and handles are cracked at all 4 attachment points. Water drips from the dispenser leaving water marks on the front. I’m scared to scrub them off too hard because of how easily it scratches. To say I’m disappointed in this refrigerator would be an understatement. Don’t waste your time or money. I also tried calling to get replacement handles since I purchased a protection plan and waited on hold for 15 minutes before I was disconnected. Not a pleasant experience with the refrigerator or protection plan so far.

I bought this fridge today, 11/5/2020. The delivery was fast and easy; however, the fridge was not what I expected. First, the freezer section is a lot smaller than what is shown in the pictures. They have a box of Dole Banana Dippers in the top shelf of the freezer door. I placed a calculator for size. the entire freezer section is not as big. Second, the shelves in the refrigerator door do not sit properly. I simply touch them and they come falling down. I have a vid but can't upload here NOT A GOOD BUY (at least the one I received)

I am not sure which is worse, the refrigerator or the manufacturer repair service provider for Amana in the Phoenix area. This units fridge side temps have ranged from 31 degrees to 52 degrees. The average temperature has been 48F degrees. The freezer side temps have ranged from -1 to 35F degrees. It frequently goes above 32F allowing ice cubes to melt and run out of the freezer side and food unthaws. We have been trying to get this unit repaired since June. The service company canceled and rescheduled the first call. The return trip to go back and repair (Trip #2) was also canceled and rescheduled. And although we called to ensure the tech would have the parts for the second trip, Guinco arrived for their rescheduled appointment without the part. They did come back the following day and installed the parts. Unfortunately that did not solve the wide swings in temperatures. The same issues persist and I have thrown on large volumes of spoiled food - some even well within expiration date and factory sealed are molding in this refrigerator. I have repeatedly contacted Amana's CEO and Nicole at their executive desk has taken a "wait and see" approach to resolve our issue. Given the quality of their product and service, I want my money refunded and I do not want to try another one of these. I believe this is just one lemon out of many Amana lemons. Buyer beware on this horrible unit!!

What an absolute nightmare. I would not buy appliances from Best Buy. I have had my brand new refrigerator for less than a year and it has broken down twice. Not only will Best Buy not repair it themselves, but no one will listen and help with an exchange and/or return. I have to pay a 3rd party repair guy to keep fixing it. The refrigerator is obviously defective and Best Buy wants nothing to do with it. I will never buy anything from them again.

We ordered this Refrigerator a package deal along with the stove and Microwave. We had to purchase in Anchorage which is about 2 hours away from the cabin we own. We also had to wait for 2 weeks before it would arrive. After 2 weeks of waiting for the appliances and picking up ourselves because they don't have deliveries for a 2 hour road trip, we come to find out after switching all our groceries from the old Refrigerator to the new one the NEW refrigerator doesn't cool at all. The sad part is that we don't live in the state and come to find out that the refrigerator doesn't work once we were 6,000 miles away. All of our food was rotten and stunk up the cabin. We are still waiting on the replacement which is scheduled for Sep. 10, 2022 exactly one month and one day from our original purchase. Needless to say, we are NOT Happy with our purchase. Sorry for the Inconvenience only goes so FAR.

This refrigerator is made cheaply to sell cheaply. The in-door water/ice is so poorly designed that, if you're not careful, you will spray water all over whilst trying to get ice in your cup. The interior drawers are hard plastic that break easily, and if you have more than three people in your home, it's not nearly big enough. Word of warning: if you do buy this fridge and have Best Buy install it, watch the installers carefully. They broke the water value in my kitchen and flooded the kitchen, dining room, and part of the basement before they figured out how to turn off the water. Best Buy did absolutely NOTHING to reimburse us for the $3k we were out for this egregious mistake. (Needless to say -- never doing business with Best Buy again.)

Worse Experience with this Whirlpool made AMANA Refrigerator Model: ASI2175GRS. I purchased this refrigerator in April 2022 ( MY 5TH MONTH NOW ) and I am still struggling to have this unit work correctly. The freezer won't heat during Defrost mode with frosted ice buildup inside the evaporator, blocking air going to refrigerator side. I already had 4 visits by the Diamond Factory Service, they kept replacing parts but to no avail, my unit is still NOT FIXED. Right now, I am waiting for them to call me if my replacement control unit arrives, and it has been about 2-months now and NO PART.... WHIRLPOOL / AMANA WON'T ALLOW RETURN/REFUND OF UNIT ( ONLY REPAIR IS MY OPTION ) ....... DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT.

Save yourself the headache buy another brand. I purchased two of these dor my apartment units and have had issues on several occasions less than 6 months after purchase with no use withing the first four months. Have had parts replaced on multiple occasions and to top it off Amana/Whirlpool and their service contractor has zero sense of urgency you have to wait several days before a technician can come diagnose only to have come again because they need to order the parts. Hundreds of dollars of food had to be thrown away. Never again this product doesn't even deserve a star. I wouldn't even gift this to my worse enemy that's how bad this fridge is. Evaporator, heater wire, condenser, heater control box have all had to be replaced

This is the worse refrigerator I've ever owned. After my old fridge went out, I purchased this one back in June 2022. Well, this one went out and I just figured maybe it was just a mishap, so I requested an exchange for another one. So...here we are in November of 2022 and i'm, yet again, having to exchange this refrigerator for another one. This time, I will NOT be getting this same model. My previous fridge was a Frigidaire from 2006. My home warranty stepped in fixed it after I had already go my first Amana Side-by-Side. With me thinking all was well, I sold my old (newly repaired Frigidaire) to my neighbor. He's enjoying it while i'm over here losing food AND money on this brand new piece of junk. They don't make 'em like they used to......

I never write reviews but this fridge has been absolutely terrible. Bought 10 months ago and somehow the evaporator coils went bad out of nowhere causing the freezer to stop working. Contacted Amana and had a tech come out covered under the 1 year manufacturer warranty. They replaced the evaporator coils and managed to make the entire fridge not work. So it went from my freezer not working, to both the fridge and freezer not working. It spoiled all of my food and the customer support is terrible.

Ice maker never worked for crushed ice and the refrigerator part stopping working ( stopped cooling). Best Buy was good about it and arranged an exchange

Very disappointed in this frig! After less than 1 month-the freezer has completely frozen up twice! I needed to empty it and defrost. I also think that the ice and water dispenser has a bad design, when getting ice the water dispenser is inadvertently bumped and water is everywhere.

This refrigerator is awful. We had it for 2 weeks and it stopped working. $300 of food went bad. The ice maker stopped working first and then the refrigerator temperature would not go lower than 56 degrees Fahrenheit. I will never buy Amana brand items again.

Ice maker does not work. Scheduled a repair person to see if the warranty covers it. The appointment Is scheduled for 8/4/21… the refrigerator part quit working several days ago and the freezer is equivalent to a ice chest that the ice has melted. Had to remove all the meat that had thawed out and smoke it to prevent loss of everything in the freezer. The refrigerator/freezer was purchased about 40 days ago.

We Purchased the refrigerator on July 11, 2022; the ice maker has already broken. I cannot get Amana to return phone calls. We called an independent repair person who told us the entire ice maker was out and that there was an eight-month backup on the part. I find this to be inexcusable that a brand new product is already not usable.

Very displeased. Had this refrigerator for about 10 days. The refrigerator side will not maintain anywhere close to 37 degrees. Seems to be running constantly and not maintaining my desired temperature. The controls have no effect on the temperature. Running it on the coldest setting for the freezer and all snowflakes lit for the refrigerator. I will be contacting both Best Buy and Amana. This is unacceptable.

Fingerprints are always hard to remove from this fridge. Fridge also makes a rattling noise. When u open the door it swings all the way back as if it’s going to break off. I don’t recommend this fridge idk why bestbuy even sells it.

Breaking constantly. 3rd repair in as many months. They keep replacing parts and the same issue keeps happening. It freezes up and air flow to the fridge stops. Ice maker is horrible. it takes literally 8 days to fill the tray.
