No, the Bose Lifestyle Ultra Subwoofer cannot be connected to just any soundbar. While it features a 3.5 mm port, it uses a proprietary Bose signal designed only to hardwire with select, compatible Bose soundbars (like the Lifestyle Ultra Soundbar or Bose Smart Soundbar 700). It is not compatible with other brands or third-party soundbars

The Lifestyle Ultra Speakers can be used in conjunction with the Bose Soundbar 900 when using Apple AirPlay or Google Cast audio sources. Grouping is managed by your phone via AirPlay or the Google Home app. When using AirPlay and Cast, the Lifestyle Speakers can be grouped with any speaker using the same AirPlay/Cast sources, including those from third-party manufacturers or previous Bose speakers, to create multi-room playback throughout your home. To be used as surround speakers, the Lifestyle Ultra Speakers are only compatible with the Lifestyle Ultra Soundbar.
