Super excited to buy this thing exactly 5 months ago, today, July 1. Great sound. Loved it. Today, dead as a door nail. Won’t power on for anything, and we just used it last night. Thought the cord was bad so I’ve swapped out a couple of them and nothing. $400+ bookend. Have bought Bose for many years and have always been pleased with their product. They just lost a customer.

Bought as open box excelente. It looks like it was used for a year por more, but with a heavy use. Just a waste of time and money for bestbuy because I'll be returning this asap. I would not pay $50 for this. They sold it close to $300. I'm not sure how they determined that the condition is excellent. Lol

I have the revolve first generation that is more than 12 years old and has had zero issues. The battery still on high volume is 4 to 5 hours even after all this time. This new product is NOT the same, it has had consistent issues with incredibly short battery time even when "fully turned off". Audio books at 3/4 volume kill the battery in less than 5 hours and music of any type at mid to low volumes kill the battery in less than 3. It is constantly listening regardless of status, it gets stuck in boot loops for sometimes 15 mins, there is no hard reset, zero app support and I have never ever gotten the app to work properly on my android. I will be returning as it just killed a 100% charge battery in less than 2 hours with an audio book. I gave this a year to sort itself out or just deal with it being a typically high priced piece of garbage and I have had it with dieing in the middle of listening with no warning.

I’ll never buy a Bose product again. The sound might be good but the trouble with connecting, powering on, voice activation it’s just not worth the trouble having to sit here and unplug and plug the charger in to try and get it to turn on after charging it all night makes no sense. God forbid you take it out with you it’s a 70/30 chance that’ll it’ll even turn on and if it doesn’t then your outta luck. Never again will I get a Bose after having 3 speakers that all have the same issues.

After our Bose Wave radio finally died, the kids suggested we go diskless, so we got the Bose Portable Smart Speaker. The sound quality is great - what you would expect from Bose. However, the Alexa feature doesn't work well. We spent hours on the phone with both Bose and Amazon trying to make it work, to avail. This expensive high quality speaker now functions as an effective door stop.

Honestly the sound quality is incredible but i give it a one star because the connection between this speaker and any of my devices, whether it’s my ipad, iphone 11pro, Galaxy S10, is completely terrible. Getting it to play music smoothly is almost impossible. I only keep it in my room and even with my phone right next to it, the music cuts off and never has a smooth connection. Very rarely does it have a good connection and plays sound with no issues. But i feel like I’ve done everything to try to fix that issue from deleting the speaker from my phone and reconnecting them to updating the software on the speaker.

Bose makes a lot of great products but this is not one of them. This thing consistently fails to hold a charge, is a pain to charge when it does charge and 90% of the time when I go to use it it will not turn on. Even worse I was told that it would sink with other bows smart speakers like the flex link, and it does not. This particular product has soured me on the Bose line

Playback time may be as little as three hours if the speaker is used continuously at high a volume level while streaming audio over Wi-Fi. The distance from the Wi-Fi access point also affects the speaker's battery life. To increase the playback time, reduce the volume level and/or reduce the distance from the Wi-Fi access point.

My first Bose was the BOSE SOUNDLINK REVOLVE+ II. Love it so much I bought second one for my father. Then purchased this model and was the worst mistake. Battery kept dying while being charged. I did purchase the protection plan but it was not fair to use. I sent for repair and took 3 weeks to comeback. It worked for like a month the. The same issue. Kept dying while charging. Total time of having speaker was for 14 months. I finally used my protection plan and my intention was to get it replaced. Well best buy gave me back the money I had payed for speaker which was $432. Store credit. I bought the BOSE SOUNDLINK REVOLVE+ II again for $229. I still had almost $200 left. Couldn’t be happier. Maybe I just had a defective speaker but that’s why it was sent for repair. Also forgot to mention I could never get the app to work with the speaker.

The Portable Smart Speaker's battery is designed to supply up to 12 hours of charge during active use, or up to 24 hours if the speaker is in standby mode. Please note the speaker will turn off after 20 minutes of inactivity if it's disconnected from a Wi-Fi network and a power connection. If that's not the cause of the speaker cutting out, then I would suggest trying a reset of your speaker. Worst speaker ever. I bought this speaker because of Bose reputation but they missed the mark on this one. I wanted it to play over WiFi primarily but it would never connect and even had trouble with my Bluetooth connection. When you spend $400 for a speaker you expect it to be exceptional but this one is far from that.

Sounds great when it works, and I like that I could connect it to Google Home. However, it would stop charging and not power up. Every now and then it will take a charge and work for a while, but eventually stop working again. This is a very expensive product for it to work this poorly. And now I'm just outside the return window at Best Buy (15 days, really?).

The speaker looks nice and how the description is worded make it sound like high quality, but when I played it at home the sound is almost equivalent to the Bose Flex spun link. It just have google assistance tied into it. I was expecting more sound than what I received. Especially for the price it cost. I am thinking of returning it and getting my money back.

Garbage. I bought a Bose speaker in 2015. It is the best speaker I’ve purchased. I gave it to my work so they could enjoy music that sounds awesome. I bought this speaker for an upgrade and it was terrible. Great sound, music skips, not worth the money. It’s simply garbage. Sorry Bose, I normally love your products.

It was very nice when it was working. After a week, it malfunctioned on me. It wouldn’t let me reset. Even when I let the power drain. It just kept blinking. I even followed the instructions on how to reset it. It didn’t work. I’m disappointed. I really liked the sound.

Have owned for 2 months and the battery life is terrible I would not recommend! - I can charge the speaker to fully charged, turn off the speaker and after just two days being powered off it is at 80% and will completely drain over the next several days. I can not return to Best Buy because they only have a 10 day return window. Stay away from this product - it is over priced and has horrible battery life while using it speaker on the battery it drains super fast and will not last much over an hour. Make sure you watch your Best Buy return window for future reference.
