At first, it was annoying that I had to figure out features and ON/OFF settings on my own by searching the web and finally coming across bose.com/support/phs (which was very helpful). The product did not ship with a manual. I finally figured out how to turn off the annoying voice prompts when connected/disconnected from a device. (which if I couldn't, this review would have been a 3 star. We use it as an additional speaker for our Google Home, which is another great feature. You can turn the mic on/off as well as the assistant. I like that I don't have to worry about accidental splashes, due to its water-resistance feature. It took a while to figure out how to get it connected to my desktop and interchange it to my phone because, again, it did not come with a manual. FANTASTIC sound & bass (which is adjustable through the Bose app. Easy to carry with it's fabric-like, flexible handle. 100% Bose quality sound and materials. Great charge. Product description says 12 hours of playback for battery-life. I haven't pushed it to that limit yet, but the battery does seem to last forever. Overall, great for home use. I also use it in my garage to workout.

Initially I tried out the Bose Revolve+ and found myself thoroughly disappointed. Sound was good, bass was mediocre but it didn't get very loud. The Revolve+ has great battery life however. Not to mention the $299 price point - unfortunately my expectations were not met. Soon after I stumbled upon the Bose Portable Home Speaker, just released in Sept of 2019. It was only $50 more than the Revolve+ so I picked one up. The difference was immediate and clear - this was the sound I was looking for! Compared to the Bose Portable Home Speaker, the Revolve+ bass is almost nonexistent. I believe Bose crammed an additional passive radiator into this speaker, for a total of three whereas the Revolve+ only has two. The difference is substantial. Needless to say I returned the Revolve+ and couldn't be happier with the BHP. My main complaint is the inability to have 2 devices paired up simultaneously. The speaker is advertised with this capability, yet whoever wants to pair up needs to have the Bose Music app installed on their phone, and even then, one of the devices is getting disconnected/booted before the other one can play. It's not very intuitive, however I feel an update could easily solve this issue. Secondly, there's no Google Play support as of yet. I find this mind boggling considering Spotify, Prime Music, Pandora, iHeart, Deezer, TuneIn and Sirius are all supported! Please Bose, tighten up and add Google Play support ASAP.

This Bose speaker is amazing! Admittedly, it is on the expensive side, but the sound you get is worth it. You would never believe the amount of bass you can get out of such a small, portable speaker. I have no complaints about it. I took it to the park a couple times this summer and it has plenty of volume even for outdoor applications. You can't go wrong with this if you're looking for something portable with great sound.

This is obviously one of the best sounding portable smart speakers out there. The slick design, great sound quality and portability outshines most of it's competition. Strongly recommended if you care about size, weight and excellent 360 degrees sound quality.

Very nice speaker. I bought it because i hate anything with power cords and this speaker is really portable. I have taken it to the beach and it does well outside. It also entirely fills up the room indoors. I dont know how but it does. Depends on where it is located. Very satisfied. Great speaker.

The Bose speaker is excellent for outside music listening for entertaining and has great quality. Sound easy to use my teenage daughters use it just connect to Bluetooth play your music and party anywhere you want. I would definitely recommend this product to those who love, entertaining and listening to music outside and inside Best Buy ever the sound quality is great. Came in handy for Christmas party.

Blows away the old HomePod and it’s portable! The audio quality doesn’t disappoint being a name like Bose which is known for amazing sound quality! It even supports Airplay! It supports both Alexa and Goggle voice Assistants! It even has support for Pandora and Spotify!

I bought the Bose speaker for my office. The sound is warm and fluid. The bass is deep and full (especially at lower volumes). I love this purchase.

It's perfect, easy to carry everywhere, it sounds great. Ideal for the beach, field, or in the living room of the house.

First of all I’d like to say that I have the sound link 3,the Bose revolve plus, and now the new portable home speaker. All I’ve been amazing but this truly is above and beyond the sound of any of them. If you’re on the fence about purchasing this speaker don’t be you won’t be disappointed. Bose has done it again.

When I first say the Bose portable speaker, I had doubts, even when I tested it. I was thinking that it sounds good in the store but how will it sound when I hook my cellphone up to it. Well, considering that it’s a Bose, I took my chances. The end results are spectacular and I’m glad I bought it! Great speaker system, Google and Alexis compatible and portable. I’m glad I got it!

I used Soundlink 3 for 7 years and It doesnt work so I bought this one. In my opinion, Bose speaker is the world best bass sound. So bose's small speaker doesn't show its advantages well, but I think the bigger the product, the better the advantages of the boss. So this speaker is only $399 and huge worth for me. I heared many kind of expensive speakers(over $1000) but this speaker is the best one. Huge worth for me.

Bose sound are always good but this has a special feature with wifi and voice recognition !!!! Anywhere to go everywhere to listen

This is the best Bluetooth speaker I have ever listened to. It's my favorite thing to do in my house. Whether listening to it while doing tasks, relaxing or enjoying company it never disappoints! I highly recommend it and also the plug-in adapter charger base.

I love the Boss speaker because it has all the technology and the sound is perfect to use in my class and dance with my students.
