This is the first Bose product that I have ever purchased and I was expecting a top of the line state of the art product, so maybe my expectations were too high to begin with. The sound quality is good but not great. It is not as crisp as I would like, almost a softened or muted quality to it. The noise cancellation is very effective. I had some connectivity issues. It would try to connect to devices that were turned off or miles away from my location. One of my biggest complaints is that the mobile app is pretty much useless. If you can actually get it to work it does very little for you. It doesn’t even have an equalizer which explains why I couldn’t do anything about the mediocre sound quality that I mentioned above. I ended up returning it and purchased the Sony 1000MX2 which I am happy with. The Sony has a much cleaner crisper sound and the app does have an equalizer so you can modify it your liking. Sony’s noise cancellation quality is equal to Bose but it is also much more dynamic and can be set to suit your surroundings and activity. I won’t get into details on Sony but would just say check it out prior purchasing Bose

I'll get to the point. The Bose QC 35 headphones work well but only for a certain time. After about a 1.5 - 2 years the headphones malfunction. The problems with mine are as follows and drained the battery constantly making the headphones unusable: 1) Headphone auto turn on 2) Green light auto turns on If you only plan on keeping the headphones for 1 - 1.5 years then I think you'll be fine. But if you're like me and was expecting to pay a premium price for something that lasts, save yourself the pain and look somewhere else. The Bose warranty only lasts a certain time period so after that you're out of luck. Don't believe me, do some research on the web and you'll be shocked by the problems and lack of support by Bose.

Sound is alright for headphones. Can’t turn them all the way up or the speakers crackle. Bluetooth works well. Noise canceling works better in the store than anywhere. Way too pricey for what you get.

Hello Eugenics73. Thank you for reviewing the the QuietComfort 35 Series II. We are glad to hear that the Bluetooth is working well for you. The active noise canceling is most effective for consistent ambient sounds (like building fans, traffic, aircraft engines, etc.). Thanks for sharing your feedback. Have a great day! Bought the beautiful Triple Midnight (Blue). Looks awesome. 5 stars for Comfort. Used it for several hours without discomfort. 5 stars for Noise Cancellation. Couldn't hear my 10yo complain about his video game sitting beside me. 1 star for Bluetooth. I get better sound and connectivity with my $20 Walmart special. First, it was impossible to connect via my laptop. I had to connect to my phone, then use the app to get headphones to work. Second, once I finally got it connected, had to deal with constant dropping/skipping on every song. EVERY SONG. Yes, I did the button reset and everything else recommended on Bose. Spent hours trying to fix something you shouldn't have to worry about with a $300+ headphone. I'm sure it works fine if you just want to listen via your phone, but that's not why I bought it. Also, the sound was ridiculously low, the range is a joke and the quality was mediocre at best. Not putting up with subpar connectivity and sound for this price tag. Returned it for the awesome Sony XM3 (great sound and no connectivity problems). No regrets.

I was extremely disappointed with this product. The sound was severely inferior to other products who are significantlt cheaper. The noise cancelling was excellent but the sound quality is crispy and the bass was so bad no matter how I adjust the equalizer on my phone. It’s volume was also on the low side. My skull candy crusher has a far more superior sound quality and a monster bass sound.

No written operational instructions so had to research on-line. Battery seems to work well and hold a good charge. Also, noise cancelling feature is effective. Difficulty is with connecting w/ my Samsung tv. I have been able to get to the step where the headset and tv “see” each other but after numerous attempts including on-line troubleshooting tips, I have been able to receive my tv audio through the headset only twice, and that, only after at least 10 minutes or more of attempting to connect. Don’t know if this is all due to “pilot error” or equipment failure or incompatibility. For now, I am unable to offer a positive recommendation; due to tinnitus hearing impediment, this would have been a great enhancement for my tv viewing experience.

I decided to buy Bose again after sticking with Beats for a couple of years. I trusted the reviews and based on experience then, I was contented with Bose sound quality. The reason why I switched was Bose headphone appeared ugly. Battery life and ease of use are just as I expected but the sound quality has deteriorated. It sounds like there is only minimal base even with noise cancelling on and no base at all when its off. This is a premium headphone but leaves me unhappy as a customer.

Hello Allan,
Many thanks for leaving your review of the QC35 II Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones.
I am very sorry to hear you have not had a positive experience of the sound quality. Bose tries to ensure a well balanced frequency range suitable for all genres of music, so it is disappointing to hear they have not worked well in your case.

These were great while they lasted. However, as you can see from the photo attached to this review the headphones are already coming apart. For the price of $378.86 I would have expected something longer lasting, and it's irritating that this happened not long after the warranty date. These headphones only have about 100 hours of use. If Bose stands by their product quality and addresses this problem for me, then I'll adjust my overall rating. Otherwise, I'm never buying from this company again.

Hi Reviewer, thank you for taking the time to review our product. I'm sorry to hear of the issues you are experiencing with your headphones. The ear cushions of the headphones are designed for both comfort and sustainability. However, they can breakdown over time with sweating, heat and cold accelerating the process. This is why we have these parts available as replacements. I would recommend reaching out to our Technical Support Team through our website where one of our agents will be happy to assist you! Got these in order to drown out noise in my old apartment building, but I most enjoyed them when I traveled—especially while flying. They were perfect for a year before the synthetic leather started to peel away from the cushion. After two years, the inner foam is entirely exposed, the noise cancellation barely dims exterior sound at "high," and the accompanying Bose iPhone app sometimes has trouble connecting. At the total cost of $377.34, I deserve more years (and quality) out of this.

Good overall tone to headphones when activated in bluetooth mode. My problem with these headphones is the substandard wired mode. What were the Bose R&D dept folks thinking when they installed their proprietary super tiny stereo jack on these headphones instead of the normal 1/8" or 3.5mm jack? It crackles and pops, even being brand new! Wired sound is poor and user cannot power on the headset to use the electronic sound shaping when connected to wire. I also wasted $25.00 more dollars on the longer optional cable, hoping for better performance, but it has a worse problem with crackling than the original cheap original "way too-short" cable. Overall, Bose should know I won't ever buy another of their products that have the substandard tiny stereo jack feature. How disappointing that Bose allowed this tiny jack receptacle feature to be released and disappoint so many buyers from any future purchases. Just read all of the other reviews! I bought the Skull Candy EVO Crusher headphones the same day, and they are the better value by far. The SCC's also feature the wired mode and while powered on for optimum tone. They also have the normal sized mini stereo jack. The Bose set was on sale for $50.00 off, but even with the discount, it was an ultra-disappointing deal and product. BT mode tone is good and noise canceling is good for price range, but don't count on using wired mode for any reason....

Hey there,
I'm glad to hear that you enjoy the tone of the headphones!
Regarding the cable, you shouldn't experience a decrease in the audio quality when you add the cable. You are also able to activate the noise cancelation by switching the headphones on. If you are experiencing issues, I would recommend making sure that the cable is fully seated in the connection.
If you continue to experience these issues, I would recommend reaching out to the team using the link here: https://bose.life/3bhsG2W. We will do all we can to help you!

$345 for a pair of headphones is crazy. Although they were comfortable and had decent bass and sound, I dont think they are worth this much. They dont really do anything special and tbh I started having a headache after wearing them for an hour.

Immediately what stood out to me is that microphone quality is absolutely terrible. It crackles while making and receiving calls. Sometimes the people I speak to while having them on cannot hear what I am saying. I've read findings from others online. I don't know if this is because I am an audiophile, but these headphones aren't worth the $350 + tax that you'd have to spend to get a pair. The USB cable provided for charging is miserably small (I think it's like 3 inches long); no charger is provided, head clamp feels cheap, provided 3.5mm audio cable is flimsy and extremely weak/fragile. I fear that if I accidentally yank it - it might snap. Sound is nothing too special and the ANC is okay. I've had much cheaper headphones delivering close if not the same quality of ANC. The sound on these aren't too special either - I spent around 300 hours since I had bought them listening to a variety of music spanning across many various audio file formats including FLAC and honestly, there's nothing special these have to offer. The only 3 positives I can give for this product are that yes they are comfortable, battery life is okay (about 24-25 hours of listening with ANC on), and the case is semi-hard but has no cushioning inside. I'd say save your money and pick up something cheaper and better.

Hello PSRG, thank you for taking the time to write your review on the QuietComfort 35 wireless headphones II. We are excited to hear that you enjoy the comfort, battery life, and carrying case. However, we are sorry to hear that the audio quality and noise-canceling technology did not meet your expectations. We recommend ensuring that the firmware of the headphones is up to date, as well as, trying different devices. You may use any standard wall adapter that offers 5 V DC, 1 A with the provided USB cable to charge the lithium-ion battery. Regarding the 3.5 mm audio cable, this is not typical, and encourage you to please reach out to our support team so that we may look further into this. I bought these because I had had a Bose speaker system for my iPod and loved it. I bought these because I wanted to use them while doing chores and working out. The setup was pretty easy, and the noise cancelling is superior! I couldn't even here my vacuum running. But then I moved more than three (3) feet away from my iPad (yes, it works with iPad) and BAM! the signal dropped. Once I was back within the three (3) feet it reconnected. If I opened a door the signal would drop. If I moved to any place where an object such as a wall blocked the signal, it would drop. I was finding I had to move my iPad around with me if I wanted the connection to remain. For the price of these I wouldn't expect the connection to drop. It's more aggravation than it's worth. Don't buy.

I ordered QC35 II headphones today. The very first thing that I could not help but notice is the poor packaging that they have done for the charger and cable that comes with it. It is as if something cheap you order on eBay and get shipped from China. I am not very sure if what I have got is a genuine product or not. As far as the sound quality goes it looks ok as of now for songs even though it start giving disturbance when you are on a audio call and move out of the room to another room. Also when we are paying so much for the product we expect it to be sent properly. The headphone was shipped using USPS and the delivery person stuffed it inside the mail box which distorted the box as well. I wished they had used better shipping service when they are charging so much for a premium product!

I have tried both the Bose and Sony top of the line head phones. The Sony has a better sound (compared to my ear & type of music). I also think the design is more modern and sophisticated. But... but. I went through two sets in a month. Both had issues with the drivers sound distorted and making a sound when certain percussion hit. Not lows, more mid snares. the specific sound is Fall For You by Kings of Tomorrow. This was not evident early one, but only after a short time in service. My Bose earbuds handle this song just fine as an example. The Bose wireless head phones didn't do any better on this song.

These work GREAT! They fully remove all other sounds. HOWEVER, fabric that cover the ear pieces began to come off after a couple months of wear. I would not recommend these based on that. But I would recommend the buds if they work as well as the headphones do. I would’ve gave 5 stars for quality if they didn’t wear they way they have.

Sound is great and noise canceling works well, however I cannot for life of me get a stable bluetooth connection with Windows 10. I am having issues on both my PC and laptop. Constantly drops and completely unreliable. This appears to be a common issue with this headset, going back at least a year and Bose has thus far been unresponsive. Works great with iphone, but no way is this headset worth anywhere near $300 until Bose figures this out.

These headphones have great sound quality and noise canceling capabilities. However, that is only if you are right in front of the TV... Forget trying to walk around the house or even turning your head. They constantly cut out. I had an old pair of Sony's that I could walk down the street and still listen to the TV with at quarter of the cost.I wish I had gone with those instead...
