For such a slim portable speaker in an elegant wrapping, this puts out amazing, room filling sound. I found initially, that the quality of sound produced by the speaker through my Bluetooth connection (phone) was decent however, when I upgraded my Droids audio player with the Jet Audio app and use the AM3D enhancer in the EQ settings, this speaker really comes to life. So, it's not only about the quality of the speaker, it's also about the quality and tuning of the signal it receives. Room placement is key. We have ours near the corner of the room, sitting on Propane stove, only when it's not in use this summer. The bass is more than adequate and using my audio player, I can add depth to the music which fills the room. We love it!

So many Bluetooth devices fail to connect or are over complicated to set up. Bose has this problem licked. Solid connectivity from great distances are possible. And of course great Bose sound. Great sound for the size of the device compared to others. Spend a little more and buy this. You won't regret it IMO.

This little box has great sound. However , it needs more base. Oh well, what can you expect for such a small device. It still rocks our pool daily. The battery is a big plus. I haven't had it run out yet. My guess is it will pump for a full day without needing to be charged.

My Bose speaker is the bomb I can take it anywhere I can par it with my phone or my tablet it has amazing sound!!

Connects easily, has great surround sound for a small space. Charge last long and holds bluetooth connection well. I wish it had a remote to turn on and as needed. Otherwise I highly recommend it.

I have been a fan of Bose for 15 years, although I have never personally had any of their products. This was my first purchase from Bose and it was a gift for my girlfriend who will use it during massages. We both love it. We use it at home too for background noise, although it is hardly background as it fills the room even at low volume levels. It is so precise and crisp in the sound that we can hear what is being sung at very low volumes. This is the perfect music source during quiet massages as it is so precise at such low volume levels. We couldn't be more happy with this purchase even if I did have to save for a few months to be able to afford it.

I had experience with the Bose Sound Wave, smaller device, but I wanted to have a bit more umf. This Bose box rocks music to a new level. Great buy!

I bought the Bose Soundlink after being dissatisfied with lower priced Bluetooth speakers. Tried the Altec "The Jacket", JBL Clip, etc. They just didn't make for a good quality sound and the battery life was dismal on both. I've owned a Bose Wave Radio II for years, and for a small box it puts out a ton of quality sound. So I compared every single Bluetooth speaker on display at the store and none of them could match the Bose for sound quality and volume. The SoundLink III is built like a tank. It's weight is an indication this is a quality piece of equipment. But the sound coming out of it is what makes it shine. Even when played loud, it doesn't distort. The DSP also works well at low volumes producing full rich response. The big winner is the battery life. I got about 12 hours of playing music, YouTube videos and NetFlix before the battery icon went red. Also, the speaker can be played while charging. Would have been nice for Bose to use a standard micro-USB cable, but the design of the circuit requires much higher voltage and current to charge the battery and operate the on board amplifier. There is no microphone for phone calls. But then, if you're buying this, it isn't for making phone calls- it is meant for music. This is the one to get if you want to get a ton of decent sound out of a small box. It's a keeper.

For such a small, portable Bluetooth speaker, the Bose SoundLink Bluetooth Mobile Speaker II sounds great and plays impressively loud without distorting. It also has a built-in rechargeable battery, an auxiliary input, a rugged design, and the option to swap out protective covers (one of which is included). If your in the market for a bluetooth speaker, then i would recommend you give this one a shot.

This little device pumps out a lot of sound, especially bass. I'm no audiophile, but I do appreciate the difference in sound quality you see from Bose products vs competitors and that is true here. To me this is how music should sound. No tinniness here! Battery life has been outstanding as well as the Bluetooth connection to all of my devices. I highly recommend this product! Also agree with others that the sound is best when the SLIII's back is to a wall.

Nice design. Feels like a brick. Sound is good. Long playing time with battery .Great for music on the go. Easy Bluetooth connection. Love listening to Pandora with it. Very satisfied.

The sound is beautiful, you are really able to hear the difference in quality of the music coming out of this bose speaker. It is easy to move around, and it also looks and feels like a quality product. It may be larger/bulkier than other competitors, but it looks sleek and seamless and feels very durable when moving it around. The bluetooth is easy to connect, and the battery life so far has been very good. I've spent many hours outside with this speaker without charging it, and when I think it's about to die, it just keeps on playing. Overall, I think it was worth the premium price for the premium product!

Compact size very good sound. Built solid, attractive and easy to use. Set up was simple and so easy. Truly plug and play. Charges quickly and I'm getting twelve plus hours of solid use. How do I know? We've had way too many snow days, and streaming my music all day, through my Bose, is keeping me sane? I play music all day and the unit keeps going. I'd recommend to users like me. Casual, not looking to rattle my windows, want transportability and Bluetooth connectivity. Pricy at $299 but go for it, you deserve it!

I've always been dubious of Bose products. I think they're overpriced, but I've got to say that this little speaker really does the job. It fills the room with clean rich sound. You do have to move it around a bit (closer or further from the wall) to get good bass response. But, true to form, the volume is basically the same throughout the room until you get about 5 feet from the speaker, and it's a bit louder there. It liked up quickly to my phone and to my iPod touch.

Bose is known for great sounding speakers and this one is no exception. It is truly amazing to hear how much great sound comes from this small box. On a battery charge we can sit out in the yard all afternoon playing music from a smart phone or tablet using the blue tooth connection. I especially recommend this for acoustic music as it has a nice natural sound with a full bass and smooth midrange. There is a slight roll-off in the highs but that is comparing it with home speakers which are larger and not portable. It can also be very loud -- we can fill the whole yard and everything is clear and focused. It is perfect for parties and cookouts.

This is one of the best speakers in its class, and it comes at a relatively affordable price. It's small enough to carry in a bag when travelling or even every day. The Bose speaker can be pretty loud, which makes it suitable for small parties. It easily connects with any Bluetooth device (phone, laptop, etc.) and always reconnects to the last device used without any additional fuss. I highly recommed it!

This is really a nice set of speakers with and excellent sound, easy to set up and can be mounted on any place connected to your bluetooth device. The design is modern, the controls very easy to operate and a good volume to fill a big office or a ample room. I was afraid of the sound quality but this toy really overpassed my expectatives

Love it! Easy to power up and connect to Bluetooth devices. Use it with a couple of iPhones regularity now. Battery life is great. Have run it for over ten hours unplugged without any issues. Larger speaker is worth the price. Low end sound quality is much better than the smaller Bose speaker sets. Can't go wrong with this speaker!
