The sound is still good, but the battery life is misleading. When you look up other reviews outside of Best Buy (which was what I should’ve done instead of blindly trusting this), people have reached out to Bose about their battery concerns and they’ve admitted that the long battery life is only when you have the speakers on very low volume. Kinda defeats the purpose of having speakers to begin with? The battery life is worse than the old old version of the Soundlink. I constantly have to charge mine and I just purchased it last month. Thankfully I got it on sale and used my certificates on top of it. The audacity to price speakers this much when the quality doesn’t match the price is wild.

I did not receive this item. Haven’t been receiving any updates about the package. Ordered on June 23rd no updates on what happened to it. I don’t know if it’s lost or something happened to it, but I need answers now from the sender please. The last update said it was in New Jersey June 25th.

I needed this for a ceremony. Right when I needed the national anthem to play, the speaker randomly disconnected from my phone and I had to trouble shoot for what seemed forever while everyone was waiting. I was standing next to the speaker so it was not a range issue. It was so embarrassing. I returned it the following day.

I had high standards for this speaker... Because it’s Bose. Maybe I got a defective one, but the battery life and sound quality is complete garbage. There are better speakers out there for half the price.

I thought the Bose legacy held up. I guess not. I returned it in one day. I stayed in the store to test the other speakers and heard what i wanted to hear in the JBL Xtreme. I expected the sound on the Bose to be crisp and have depth, and it did not compared to the JBL.

While it's true that sound performance is subjective to an extent, the Flex 2nd Gen speaker is also capable of providing the depth and crispness that you mentioned. The Bose app has an Equalizer that can be used to boost or reduce the basses, mids and trebles to your liking. Also, the speaker itself comes with PositionIQ™; this technology adjusts the EQ automatically, based on the speaker's orientation (horizontal, vertical, or on its back). DO NOT BUY! Only lasts about 18 months before the random shut offs begin. Was a great speaker for about a year and a half, but now it randomly shuts off after every other song. Fully charged, plugged in, unplugged, doesn't matter. What's the point of a Bluetooth speaker that randomly shuts off?

This is my 3rd or 4th Bose speaker and they all end up not charging or working affer a couple months. Not buying again.
