So, I bought this for a trip that I’m on for a few months. So far the sound quality is great and battery is holding up. Charging it as I go on every stop and my solar pack. But the one thing I hate most about it is the strap that holds it to my bag. It keeps popping off so I am constantly looking back to see if it has fallen. I wish Bose would of used a fix metal hook to attach a carabiner to it. I mean I know by the end of the trip it will be lost and someone will have a free bose speaker. Very poor job on the way it attaches. So I would recommend this if you are attaching it to your bag and on the go a lot.

Sounds amazing. 2 stars because mine stopped charging after 1 month. Never got wet or anything like that. Hope my exchange last longer than that.

And they connected to my phone to see my Bose speaker and told me i needee a USB charger for it to work Geek sQuad usually does better than that. Im. Very disappointed in their service this time. Now i have to spend more $.to find the right usb cord after having this device over 20 days

Well, I bought the Bose SoundLink Mini, and three months later, it stopped charging. At first, I assumed it was the wire, so I tried another one. Still nothing. I even used a new block and wire, but it was dead to me at that point. I called Best Buy, but since I didn’t get the protection plan, I was basically out of luck and felt scammed by Bose. On the positive side, the speaker sounds good and packs a punch for such a small device. However, based on my experience, I don't think I'll be buying another Bose speaker again.

Bose needs to step up their game. The product came with no charge on it and then wouldn’t hold a charge instead of the JBL and others that come with C chargers it comes with its own unique angled plug into the unit sort of like a Tom Tom or an old cell phone. Not sure what that charger is called but maybe I got an older model. Show stopper for me is everybody is obviously going to “C” chargers

Hi there, I'm sorry to hear you're not happy with your SoundLink Micro charging experience! The SoundLink Micro speaker (release date: 2017) is charged using a male Type A to male Micro B charger. This cable is still quite common, and affordable, and it can be found either via Bose or via your preferred third-party dealer. I hope this information is useful and allows you to enjoy using your speaker! Warm regards, Fiona M. - Bose Customer Support

Bose price without the Bose performance. Purchased 2nd Bose Soundlink speaker. 1st one functioned great so we upgraded to the bulkier Max version expecting enhanced performance. Sadly the speaker has not lived up to the Bose reputation in all areas.

not happy with this product, battery will not hold a charge while fully charged and turned off! Defective battery? who knows why the battery drain occurs but it drains all by itself. Full charge depletes to nothing while completely turned off in two weeks time

Hello and thank you for your review.
Leaving the unit on when not in use will drain the battery. However, if the system does not detect a signal (Bluetooth® or AUX) for 30 minutes*, it will shut off. To minimize the battery from draining, we recommend turning the system off manually.
If you run into any issues, please reach out to support and we’ll be happy to help!

I listen to a lot of Electronic Dance Music and i was not impressed with the quality of the sound. Some songs sounded terrible. I did not adjust any settings on the Bose app i.e. bass or eq. Would not recommend.

Hello,
You can adjust the bass and treble of the speaker to your preferences using the Equalizer in the Bose app.

The box did not have instructions. It makes beep sounds at night (not good) while sleeping. Not my first choice, but had to buy something.

Surprisingly mediocre speaker from Bose. Sounds good but nothing amazing. Worse part is the it uses micro USB, very outdated. There are better options with way better battery life.

Honestly not worth the cost. For Bose, its sounds slightly muffled. You can get something a lot cheaper and maybe even sound better.

I'm sorry to hear that you found the SoundLink Micro's sound to be muffled, Cindy. Moving your speaker away from any walls or corners will naturally decrease its bass output, which can help higher frequencies sound clearer. If that doesn't help, please contact our support team, so we can take a closer look and assist you: https://support.bose.com/s/get-help-landing-page?language=en_US. Best speaker i I ever had....that lasted only 2 months. DO NOT BUY!!!! It will stop accepting charge and become a useless paper weight. Don’t be fooled by the quality of name brand. When it worked it was fantastic but now after ONLY 2 months it’s completely useless, spend your money elsewhere.

I'm quite disappointed with this speaker. While it's a very nice size, it skips while playing...don't know why. It's like a record a skipping...annoying! At first we thought it may be a wifi issue, or the distance from the modem/router....not so; it still skips planted right beside it. Tried a different speaker to test, didn't have a problem with that one...it's the Bose. :/

Hello,
Sorry to hear that you're facing some connectivity issues. The SoundLink Micro is a Bluetooth speaker opposed to WiFi, therefore this will not have an effect on the connectivity.
You can find some great relevant troubleshooting here: https://bose.life/3hnAZLG this will show some improvements.

Unfortunately this is my 2nd purchase of the this same item...item works well till it’s time to charge! My first speaker lasted a few months before having the problem, 2nd one just two weeks! Needless to say I’m disappointed in in the BOSE quality

I am so sorry to hear this. Did you know all Bose products come with a limited warranty and even if you are out of warranty we can still help! It is strange that you are having the same issue with both speakers. The SoundLink Micro needs a 5 VDC, 1.5 A power supply. Anything more than this will damage it and anything less wont charge it. Is this the supply you are using? Reach out to us if you need assistance.

This little guy was amazing! I decided I wanted something a little louder and bigger. Decided to keep this for floating the river or major outdoors since it’s waterproof. It’s not even been a year and the volume is just gone. It’s never been submerged in water or anything. It was such a great item and randomly it just lost its volume. Pretty disappointing! $100 down the drain. :/
