Speakers of this size are hard to bring full sound to a space. This little guy does just that. Full and clean sound in a tight little package. I used it on a hike, at the beach, and while cleaning out the garage. It's a great sound for your personal space. I tried out the other speakers at this size, like the Sony, JBL and Klipsch. JBL is the only one that came close. It's definitely waterproof. Went on a 6-hour hike, and 3 hours of it was downpouring. My advice it go to the store and test them out for your self. I tried to do the whole YouTube thing and hear people testing them out but its just not the same sound. Remember, everyone has a personal preference for sound. I like EDM, Alternative, classic rock, and some R&B. The bass is sufficient for me, while keeping the other tunes in check to maintain a clean sound. Oh, and the clip is plenty sturdy for strapping to a backpack, beach umbrella or gararge door, or frame on a bike. The only negative is that it's a micro-USB not USB-C. Also, I believe the Bluetooth version is older, so you don't get as much of distance as others. But again, at this size it meant for your personal space not a party.

I bought the little Bose SoundLink Micro Portable Bluetooth speaker as a "temporary fix" when I purchased a turntable to play my old LPs. I didn't know the turntable didn't come with speakers and I hadn't done any research so I got the little Bose speaker to use until I could figure which "real" speakers to buy. That was more than a month ago and I'm still using the little Bose speaker because it has great sound and excellent range. The audio is crisp, with a rich sound and deep bass. Sound quality is great at low volume, but if I have to turn the volume up I don't hear any distortion or loss of quality. I've since used it for its intended purpose: portability, and I love it for that, too. The Bluetooth pairing to my iPhone or my turntable was easy and painless. The only downside I'd say is the charging cord is very short. But the battery holds a long long charge, so that's good. (specs say 6 hour charge) I use it out by the pool and although I haven't tested it, reviews say it is waterproof - a bonus!
