The Bose Revolve Charging Cradle will allow you to charge either the SoundLink Revolve or SoundLink Revolve+ speakers without having to constantly fumble with the micro-USB connector on the back of the speaker. Once the cradle is plugged in, you just need to sit the SoundLink Revolve(+) Speaker correctly and it will charge. A nice and easy solution to charging a decent speaker. Unfortunately, there are a few shortcomings. First, out of the box, there is no charging cord nor wall adapter included. You are only getting the charging cradle. Second, it is difficult to plug in micro-USB charging cord into the cradle. In order to plug this in, the cord needs to navigate its way about 2/3 of the way in from the back, and about 1/3 of the way in from one side along a channel that is almost too narrow for my stubby fingers while navigating a bend. Why not just plug into the back of the cradle? Third, its based on contact charging. I was hoping for inductive charging. Inductive charging has been charging electric toothbrushes and many cell phones for years. Instead, there are 4 small spring loaded contacts that transfer power from the cradle to the speaker. In order to align with the contacts correctly, there is a c-shaped feature on the top of the cradle that matches a c-shaped groove on the bottom of the speaker. I've taken to dropping the speaker onto the cradle and giving it a little twist to make sure I've gotten it onto the cradle correctly. Overall, the cradle does what its supposed to do. It charges the SoundLink Revolve(+) speaker. Unless I was constantly moving the speaker around and worried about the wear and tear of the speaker's micro-USB port, I probably would not recommend this cradle.

Contrary to what you might think, you have to put the speaker down in precisely the exact correct position. You cannot be a 16th of an inch off in either direction or it will not connect. I think it might even fall off if you let go of it without it being in the exact spot. It would be much quicker to use the micro USB. Very very disappointing. The only plus side is that it is extremely quick just to pick it up. Otherwise, it's not worth it. It should be re-engineered where you simply set it down on the base in any position and it work.

I marked this as a 2 star because I feel that if I am spending $200 on the speaker then they should have just included this. It is almost necessary to have and given the finicky nature of compact USB cables I would consider this to be necessary. But honestly, it should have been included with the device.

Charging cradle works great but what really sucks is the USB cord you're given and where the USB port is located on the charging cradle. If it wasn't for where the USB port is located in the charging cradle I would have given it 4 stars instead of 2.

Really unnecessary as this battery last a long time. I had a problem with the cord that didn't come with it kept falling out of it.

I thought this would be a great companion to the speaker, but it has been nothing but frustration. It is very difficult to get the speaker seated into it, far from just setting it down onto it. What's worse is that the microUSB connector doesn't stay plugged into the device so as you move it around to try to get the speaker into the cradle, the USB plug comes unplugged, requiring me to set the speaker down, get the microUSB plugged back in, and then retry getting the speaker seated not the cradle. Horribly designed product, I expect much more from Bose.

I read reviews for this before purchasing my Bose Soundlink Revolve speaker. The reviews said it is not necessary to have since you can charge your Soundlink Revolve with the charger plug that comes with the Soundlink Revolve. I figured I would buy it and check it out for myself. The reviews were correct. You do not need the standalone charger since the plug that comes with the Soundlink Revolve does the same thing. Based upon this, I returned this product to the store.

Don't waste your time and money over this charging cradle, I never found the purpose of this charger, I ask an associate what was the point of this charger, and he told me that I could keep listening to music while charging the speaker with this cradle, which wasn't possible only with the cable. I did try it at home and my speaker was playing music while charging it only with the cable.

Hi there! Sorry to hear your charging cradle is not operating as expected. You should be able to stream music through your speaker both on charge and not - whether that be using the cradle or the provided cable. I'd recommend contacting your point of purchase and seeking out the possible service option as this is unusual behaviour. Alternatively, get in touch with us directly, we'll be happy to assist with your issue - https://bose.life/38fMTSV. Sam - Bose Customer Support

It was difficult getting the cord to stay plugged in. I'm not even using this base. I found it easier to plug the power cord straight into the speaker.

For a Bose product I was disappointed. The craftsmanship is poor and you have to wiggle the sound link to get it to mate and charge.

Far too expensive for what it does. It's a glorified micro USB extension cord. While that could be said about charging cradles for phones and other devices, you likely get far more use out of those. I use my phone's wireless charging pad every day. And it means I don't have to fish the charging cable out from behind the dresser or nightstand every day. How often do you charge a Revolve? The Revolve already has very good battery life. So unless you're listening to it 8 hrs / day or more, you likely only need to charge it once a week. Perhaps only once or twice a month. Not only that, but my wireless phone charger can be used for any Qi compatible device. The Revolve dock converts the micro USB to its own proprietary 4-pin grid. It's useless for anything except a Revolve ( unless Bose decides to use it for future speakers as well ). Is that worth $30 for its own dedicated charging space on your countertop? For me, no.

I think I received a lemon when it comes to this charging cradle. The design is great but I have had issues getting the cradle to charge correctly. Ever since I unboxed it I've had issues that when I placed the speaker on the cradle inside the C-guide and it just didn't charge at all. When I tried using it again, I ended up with a 70% charged speaker. Now when I go to charge it after it's been used for awhile, I have to place it on the charger, look at the battery indicator, if it shows fully charged I lift it up and place it down again. I have to repeat this until it shows the orange charging indicator. Ideally, it should charge once you line the guides up on the bottom of the speaker with the cradle. I am guessing by other reviews that my cradle is likely having issues that are rare. I will contact Bose once I find some time to see what advice they can give on it. If it worked correctly I would definitely recommend this to a friend, but since it's charging capabilities are hit or miss I give it 2 stars.

It *appears* to me that this charging cradle is required for fast charging of the associated speaker(s), but inconsistent reporting of battery charge level and status have made it difficult to determine conclusively the benefit of this accessory. Further, it is my opinion that the associated speaker(s) *should* be able to handle fast charging with the AC/DC converter bundled with the speaker. The convenience factor of interacting with the cradle rather than the USB cable seems rather trivial to me. This cradle didn't include a USB cable which would have been nice to have, allowing me to keep the cradle plugged in while allowing me to use the USB cable bundled with the speaker for connection to an input audio device, or for on-the-go charging.

I got this along with the Revolve + and since I've opened it I've had issues with it charging correctly. It's very picky about how you place the speaker on the charger. Several times I've popped the Revolve on the charger inside the C groove perfectly and when I came back it's still charged to the same level. I usually have to play with the charger to make sure its actually charging. Something that could be done simply turns into a bit of a pain. Here's what happens: I place the speaker on the charger, it shows charging and then quickly changes to charged. I lift it up and put it back down, same thing. Repeat multiple times until it actually starts charging. I don't see anyone else having issues with this so I may have gotten a lemon.

Found this a little difficult to place the Bose Revolve+ Bluetooth Speaker on this charging cradle. Well made but not exactly helpful. Would actually consider skipping the cradle/dock purchase and just charging it with a cable.
