This cradle really isn't needed. The charging cord can go straight to the Bose speaker. Bose reasoning on the matter is on the box. 1) Keeps speaker charged and ready to go (so does the charging cord) 2) Works with Revolve speakers (well no duh) 3) Convenient home base for our speaker (again, if you want to have a platform that doesn't move, well I guess this is it??!) 4) Let's you play music while charging (so does the charging cord) Again, this little guy has to have the charging cord plugged in to it for it to work. Skip this guy, charge your cord straight to your speaker and keep it moving. Bose should have made this little guy a wireless charger then you would have had something. The material seems durable but it feels really light which means there's not too many components inside to make it a necessity. All you do is plug the cradle up, and drop the speaker on top. Nothing special unless you are the type that like to have the whole kit and Kaboodle. I wouldn't recommend it.

Overview: This puck style cradle makes charging the Bose Revolve+ very convenient. The Good: - Super easy and straight forward to use. - Pretty minimal design that doesn't stand out. The Bad: - Doesn’t come with its own cable and charging adapter. - Light weight and is easily pulled off the table when speaker is not docked. - Top surface is plastic and scratches too easily. Should have been metal like the base. Cool Extras: - Plugging the cradle into your computer via USB and docking the Revolve lets you charge the speaker as well as route computer audio through the Revolve. It’s super convenient and an overall neat feature for something advertised as only a charging cradle (manual doesn't mention this feature at all).

Bose Charging Cradle is good looking very slim. the style is very nice small round very well made. The charging cord slides in the port and the cord stays out of the way. It is very easy to dock the speaker on the cradle every time. There is not much you can say about a docking cradle you don't have to have this one for the speaker it does have a charging port on the back of it this does make it easy to charge and looks good.

It's a cradle. You are supposed to put your Bose reolve speaker on it and it is supposed to charge it while still playing the music. I gotta admit that speaker looks better while sitting on it. But is it worth $30? Also, I need to carry two things when I am moving between rooms or indoor vs. outdoor. I usually end up just carrying the speaker.

The device doesn't come with a plug, which is a bummer. I tried to read up as much as possible on this dock, because I have an old model of the speaker, and wasn't sure it would be compatible. I had some extra cables that fit the port, but the dock wouldn't charge my speaker. The underside of the dock is not a great design to hold the cord in place. I thought I was doing something wrong. I went to return the dock at Best Buy, but the Geek Squad helped with a new cord that was powerful enough, and they confirmed that the design was confusing and the unit should come with a cable. I'm a little bummed that a company like Bose would scrimp on something like a cable, and not make it plainly obvious that a specific power cable would need to be bought separately. Once I got the unit home, it charged my speaker well, and is working fine.

This product is very convenient, but I would have much preferred to have this included with the speakers.

Great concept! Set the speaker on this base, it charges and just grab it when you want your music to go along. No more lost cables behind your furniture. Unfortunately, I had to return the first one - the charging cable poorly connected to the base. The replacement seems to be working. Also, others have complained about getting the speaker to “seat” properly on the base. I’ve not experienced this problem. This base makes the SoundLink speaker much more convenient to move around, which we do a lot. If it’s primary going to sit in one spot, skip this base. However, I’d make the effort to get one that works. It really is a very good accessory to add convenience to your purchase.

It works for fast charging . It is a shame you have to spend extra money to get this base stand for charging the Revolve plus. At the price of Bose products it should be included.

It makes your speaker more portable but i think it could be easier to connect sometimes hard to line up the connection.

I thought it was something different. It’s just the cradle itself, no cord, you use the cord and plug that comes with the speaker. Also it has pins you have to set it on, I thought I was easier to just set it on. I guess for some people it’s useful, depending on how you intend to use the speaker, but for me it seems just as easy to just plug it in to charge. Especially since it stays charged so long. I returned it.

This is a great addition to the Bose speaker. However, it did not come with a cord - you have to use the cord from the speaker. I was thinking it would give some options about where to charge. A little expensive for just the base. Also the speaker only goes on one way and is a little cumbersome to get it right, really not much better than plugging it into the speaker itself.

So first off the sound is awesome and everything I come to expect from bose. So why only 3 stars. Well in party mode when you link two of these together, they tend to break up despite factory reset and firmware updates. I plan to exchange them for another set hoping one of them is just a lemon.

Getting the micro USB cable to plug in and stay in is a hassle, and even when you think you have it plugged in and the speaker perched perfectly on top, it will only charge half the time.. Its fickle af. Recommend skipping the dock and just plugging the cable directly into the speaker.

The docking station works well, although you can just plug the cord into the speaker. It is difficult to plug the charging cord into the docking station. You can't hold it between your fingers and plug it in. You have to sort of hold it against the base with one finger and try to slide it into the port. If you don't want to charge the speaker anywhere but the docking station, then after the first time of attaching the cord you're good. However, sometimes I want to take the speaker in my car and charge it as I go, in which case I just bring the cord to plug into the speaker itself. So then I have to re-plug the cord back into the docking station if I want to use it later. Starting to think the docking station is pointless.

Hi Heather! I'm pleased to hear you found the docking station a handy accessory for your Revolve speaker. It's great for letting you easily place and remove your speaker from charge whenever you feel like using it. Keep the docking station cabled in always for the best ease of use. Love the bose speaker. Not so much the charging plate. The charging cord is always coming loose and because of that my speaker is never 100%. I'd take it back but it's been too long

It does keep my speaker charged but oddly when I check my Bose SoundLink revolve battery level, the speaker often says it is at 80% after being on the charger overnight or even days without any use. Not sure it is a speaker issue or this charger base. But the speaker always has juice using this so I know the speaker is charging. The other annoyance is putting the speaker on the charger. Though I look to see which way to align the speaker when you drop it on the charger base, I still have to twist it around to find the spot for it to connect. It should be built to just drop and go. I’ll give it a mild recommendation just because the only other choice is fumbling with charger cables.

Usually for accessories like this you don’t really notice the accessory and just expect it work well. Pretty much from the start I’ve had difficulties, which is frustrating considering the cost of the item. The plug which you insert into the base does not fit securely and pretty much falls completely out if you bump the base in the slightest. This is not helped by the curved design of the underside which is designed to prevent the cord from being pulled straight out. I’d have given the product a lower rating if I knew this was a design flaw, because I can’t be sure I don’t have a defective plug and/or port where the cable goes in.

I ended up returning the charging cradle. It's easy to plug in the cord that comes with the speaker for charging. Also, I found it difficult to line-up the speaker to the cradle.

Very quick and easy to use. The only thing I don’t like about it is it’s semi difficult to get it aligned properly for charging. But it still comes in very handy.
