I’ve had these speakers for 2 months from an open box offer. And they keep disconnecting from the rest of the Bose system. Best Buy won’t even acknowledge they are at fault or let me return them. Not impressed.

Hello Manny,
It is odd that they would disconnect, I would recommend moving the receivers closer to the Soundbar. Please make sure that there isn't anything metal blocking the signal between the Soundbar and the receivers. You can also contact us https://bose.life/contact for support with your Surround Speakers as we'd love to help.

Sorry that you've not been able to experience the full benefit of these surround speakers with your soundbar. Have you tried playing multiple sources? (From TV, Bose Music, Bluetooth, etc)

I have the sound bar and the Bass Love Them! I thought I would complete the set and have the best sound you could have! Sorry to say that the Bose® - Virtually Invisible Surround Speakers don't live up to the price. I added them to my set up and did the Adaptive set up and was shocked that they did not make a difference. The sound is weak. I looked and could not find any setting to change the sound on them. The build of them are nice and the size is great. I will attempt to play with them more and will update if anything changes.

I purchased the Bose Smart Soundbar 300, Base Module 500, and these surround speakers. Very easy to setup. With one huge exception, they sound fantastic. The problem is the rear speakers pop at random intervals. Bose said just to reset/refresh the system. That didn't help. Here's what's interesting, the popping only occurs on the right surround channel. If both surround speakers are set to left channel, there's no popping, but of course that setting defeats the purpose of surround sound. The popping happens on both HDMI and optical inputs as well as on other bluetooth connections. I've tried: -Swapping the speakers. Swapping the bluetooth modules. New speaker wires. I even exchanged the surround speakers at Best Buy for a whole new set. Same problem occurs. -Moving the receivers/adapters closer to the soundbar (they're -currently within 6 feet). -I tried several different power outlets in case it was a grounding issue. -No other power or electrical cables cross paths with the speaker cables. I cannot get the popping to stop. It's rather unfortunate. I was looking forward to finally having a high quality system. Lucky for me I still have a few days left to return the system to Best Buy. I'll probably get a Sonos system instead.

The system doesn't coordinate with your other Alexa controlled speakers so it's useless for all house sound. And why would you want it if you couldn't have all house sound? the sound was an awesome either. Our subsequent purchase of a JBL sat was much better for 1/3 the price. Bose has really lost their way.

not much sound for the money, I returned them and upgraded to the 700 speakers and really not much better, had the geek squad come and check everything and they couldn't get much sound out of them, really happy with the 900 sounder and 500 base but really disappointed with the speakers

I purchased the Bose surround because of my history with Bose products. I purchased them from Best Buy because of my history with Best Buy. Well, everything has changed with both companies. I bought these and had to wait 2 weeks for my new home to close and did not have a chance to set them up right away. As soon as I was in my home, I set up the speakers with my TV and immediately took notice to a major lack of the Bose Experience. I tweaked all settings and it did not help the matter. The surround speakers sounded like they were blown out, crackling and lacking any surround quality. I called my Best Buy store and they said Oh sorry but the return period of 14 days already passed so we can't help you. I contacted Bose and they said Oh sorry we can't help you because you purchased them through Best Buy and if you would have bought them through Bose we would replace them immediately. What! Never have I had issue with Best Buy or Bose but I guess things have changed.

No power very low volume. Although they are very easy to install. All that was required was to plug into A/C.

I love the sound bar, it's easy to use and truly has superior sound, however, I purchased the Invisible speakers immediately after to really enrich the sound. You have to plug the speakers in and insert wires into a terminal. Out of the box, the terminal screws were stripped completely rendering the entire system useless. I contacted Bose, who's customer service barely speaks English, and they promptly replaced the entire system rather than just send me the one tiny part I was requesting. I opened the box and during the setup, I noticed the EXACT same thing. I will be requesting a full refund from Bose. Terrible quality control and customer service.

I got burned on this purchase. Found out after buying that you need additional items for these to even work. I was a day late returning and Best Buy would not return them. This is a lot of $ for a disabled person to lose out. Felt like crying……

They add a small layer of sound to movies that use Dolby atmos but add no sound to music. They do connect wirelessly which is a plus, the only plus. Not worth the money at all. I expected better from Bose. These should be $99 at most.

I bought these to enhance. The Dolby atmos but it never did what It was supposed to do. It never made a jet sound like it was going from the left side of the room to the right side of the room. And I watched Top Gun Maverick?

Thanks for sharing your experience for your Surround Speakers, the immersive effect you're describing, like a jet flying from one side of the room to the other, depends not only on the earbuds but also on the content source, device settings, and how Dolby Atmos is configured. Some streaming platforms or devices may require specific settings or compatible formats to fully enable spatial audio. To help answer the issue on your speakers here is a helpful guide:

Unfortunately, directly after making this purchase Bose released a broken firmware update. There’s a clicking sound in the back right speaker. If I disable the surround speaker the clicking moves to the right speaker in my 700 Soundbar. I can not recommend this or the Soundbar until this is resolved. Other than the terrible clicking noise the speakers would sound great...

Thank you for taking the time to review our Wireless Surround Speakers in use with the Soundbar 700.
We understand the frustration caused by this issue, and would love to steer you in the right direction.
We recently released a software update aimed to resolve audio issues with the Bose Surround speakers. This update was released as of June 4th 2019, but can take up to 48 hours to become available for your soundbar.
We would recommend that yo leave your soundbar idle and connected to the network between the hours of 2:00 AM - 5:00 AM local time to get the update.
Once this has updated, please ensure that the surround speakers are set back up, that the audio input is set to a 5.1 surround sound source, and get this back up and running again!
We apologise for the inconvenience that this caused, and look forward to getting this back to the expected quality of sound from this product!
If you have any questions or further issues, please reach out to Bose Support in your country/region so we can make this right for you. Have a nice day!

Terrible service from BestBuy. Missing parts so I could never even try the speakers. After hours on the phone with 6 different agents, no one would send me the small necessary adapter to connect the speakers to the speaker wire. I had to return them and BestBuy would not honor the Black Friday deal to order another one even though they told me they would. Bestbuy failed to stand behind their product, commitment and word. Not happy.

I do not recommend this product because, (1) music will not play, (2) the product is over priced for movies only, and (3) there are better products such as the LG QX80.

I love Bose. But, these are garbage!! “Wireless”? Hardly. 10 ft of wire to contend with and the sound? What sound? I had them turned up to 100 ans still had to put my ear up against them to hear anything!! Disappointed isn’t even the right word for these. These were my Christmas gift this year. They are going back TOMORROW!! Don’t waste your money. $400 for these is absurd!! Just an FYI I had these connected to a Bose soundbar 900 w/ a 700 subwoofer.

The app is necessary to set up the speakers. Guess what? The app is horrendous. It does not work. I searched in their community and I'm not alone. I ended up returning the speakers. I do love the LG 65" OLED TV I bought!!! OMG I didn't know what I was missing.
