I am 100% a BOSE person, and I was so excited to add these to my 700 soundbar and subwoofer. Thanks to COVID, we were watching more movies at home vs. the theater, and I really wanted my theater surround sound experience. I anticipated hearing a helicopter land on my roof, but instead, I can't tell if the speakers are even on. I have the output up to the max (100) in the app. I used the adaptIQ setup. Why cant I hear the speaker? So, I decided to play some music, and all of a sudden, the speakers come alive. I literally felt like I was at a concert. So, I changed my audio settings on the TV from cinema to music, and the speakers are a little better - you can at least tell that their on. Overall, these speakers do not give the sound I was looking for in "surround sound" speakers because I wanted them for movies, but if you like concerts - these will make you feel like you have front row seats. On the hardware side, they are a little heavy so take that into consideration when deciding where to mount them. The cord that runs from each speaker to the wireless receiver is very long. I had actually purchased speaker wire with the speakers because I wasn't sure if it would be long enough, but there was more than enough for our 10-15 ft stretch. I used the Rocketfish™ - Tilting Wall Mounts (Best Buy: Model:RF-HSWM2B SKU:5149022) and the ECLINK Black Wall Mount Bracket for Bose SlideConnect WB-50 (UFS-20) to mount the speakers, and it ended up costing about $45 total. The receiver box is bulky but we have them on the floor below the speaker with accent furniture covering them up. It's easy setup with the BOSE app, and the unit overall has the look/feel of a great quality item. The only downfall is - there is no where near enough output for TV/Movie purposes. I love BOSE, but I wouldn't recommend these for anyone wanting theater sound at home.

Hi there,
I'm so glad to hear that you have enjoyed the ease of setup with these speakers.
I'm sorry to hear of your disappointment with the audio during movies. I would setting the surround level to 0 and re-running the ADAPTiQ calibration. Once complete, you can test and adjust the surround volume. You may also find a reset might help, you can do this by unplugging the speakers for 30 seconds and then plugging it back in.
Thanks!

I have 600 series sound bar, 500 sub, and a pair of these satellite speakers. Small living room. Like others have said the sound quality and range is all over the place. Sometimes the system comes to life but Id say its 1 out of every 10 atmos rated movies or shows that I can notice it being surround sound, crisp, clean, etc. If i had the chance to redo my purchase I would go with a sonos system. This combo might only be good in a small space like a small bedroom not even a master sized bedroom cause that would honestly be the size of my living room and clearly the range of these drivers isnt there. Pairing the three of them is easy I will give it that. However the app is incredibly barebones and provides no EQ settings besides raising or lowering the volume.

Hello,
Thank you for sharing your experience with the Surround Speakers.
I am sorry to hear that you are not fully happy of them with your soundbar 600 and bass module 500.
Please make sure to setup the ADAPTiQ to optimise the sound of your system with your room. You can find out how to configure this within the Bose Music app.

I recently purchased the Bose Surround Speakers 120-Watt Wireless Home Theater Speakers in Black, and unfortunately, my experience has been far from satisfactory. Here's why I cannot recommend these speakers: Subpar Sound Quality: Despite Bose's reputation for premium audio products, I found the sound quality of these surround speakers to be underwhelming. The audio lacked depth and clarity, failing to deliver the immersive surround sound experience I had hoped for. Even after adjusting settings and placement, the speakers failed to meet my expectations in terms of audio fidelity. Limited Connectivity Options: The wireless connectivity feature of these speakers is touted as a convenience, but in reality, it falls short. The limited range and reliability of the wireless connection resulted in frequent dropouts and interruptions during playback, detracting from the overall listening experience. Additionally, the lack of alternative connectivity options such as wired connections further limits flexibility and compatibility with different audio setups. Build Quality Concerns: While the speakers boast a sleek and modern design, the build quality leaves much to be desired. The materials used feel cheap and flimsy, lacking the durability and robustness expected from a premium audio product. Additionally, the setup process was cumbersome, with poor instructions and confusing controls adding to the frustration. Inadequate Performance for the Price: Considering the premium price point of these Bose surround speakers, I expected nothing short of exceptional performance. However, the disappointing sound quality, limited connectivity options, and questionable build quality make it difficult to justify the investment. There are far better alternatives available on the market that offer superior audio performance and value for money. Overall Dissatisfaction: In conclusion, my experience with the Bose Surround Speakers 120-Watt Wireless Home Theater Speakers has been a letdown. From subpar sound quality and limited connectivity options to concerns regarding build quality and performance, these speakers fail to live up to the expectations associated with the Bose brand. I cannot recommend them to others seeking a reliable and immersive home theater audio solution.

I didn't realize you would still have to have wire everywhere to go from the transmitter to the speaker. Even my old system didn't use this. The transmitter plugged into the sound bar. In addition, there are no brackets to install these surround speakers on the wall and as far as I can tell there are none available for them. If someone doesn't have a table nearby does that mean they should just put them on the floor? Or go buy a wooden bracket? There is nothing on these surround speakers that identifies what model they are so when searching for brackets if you type in surround speakers, you get about a hundred models. Even my old system didn't use these transmitters, and they had a simple way to mount them to the wall. As far as Bose support: like going down a rabbit hole.

Hi Lance.
Thank you for your post. The surround speakers have wires to go to the transmitters and it is the transmitters that will connect to the soundbar wirelessly using the app. Also, we do have accessories for it. Be aware that these speakers function only for 5.1 sources. This basically rules out 99% of what I view. The Soundbar 700 system offers no option to drive them as a second stereo pair, so they aren't adding much to music listening, either. I will qualify this by adding that I cannot complete the ADAPTiQ configuration, because no matter what I do (unplug all appliances, turn off HVAC, etc) the system tells me the room is too noisy to complete the set up process. That said, the Soundbar 700 and bass module sound terrific.

Bought these with sound touch 300 and bass module. Soundbar was top notch. Bass module was average but the rear speakers were just simply disappointing. Other reviewers noted lack of volume adjustment ability and limited volume - my experience backs that up. When I returned the full Bose set and got a full blown 5.1 system it was simply night and day. Absolutely no comparison. That's a little unfair as a 5.1 should always outperform a soundbar but the cost of the full BOSE setup is close enough to a decent 5.1 that not going the incremental is a mistake unless you simply can't handle the 5,1 space requirements (which can be quite small). The incremental money we spent for 5.1 versus the quantum leap in sound quality, power and performance made returning the Bose product a no-brainer (and I'm a BOSE fan with numerous other BOSE purchases made)

The base worked great until a couple of weeks ago. Now i am getting s popping sound when the base gets intense in whatever i am watching. When i went through troubleshooting, they encouraged me to get a wite because i am possibly having wifi disruption. No other device has wifi issues. Frustrated that i need to purchase another cord. I have been turning the base off entirely lately.

Hi Wolf.
Thank you for posting. Sorry to hear that you are having low sound in your surround speakers. Please check the audio settings of the connected device. Many devices (i.e. cable boxes, game consoles, Blu-ray players, etc.) let you adjust audio processing (i.e. bass, treble, compression, etc.). Disable any audio processing settings in the device menu or adjust any other related settings, then try again. If you have questions in the future, just reach out to us here. https://bose.life/3BzXXfd. We would love to help.

Right channel occasionally has popping sound. Exchanged satellites within 15 days. Sound continued. Best Buy’s crap 15 day return period had ended. Did warranty repair with Bose on smart sound bar 300. Sound bar was “repaired” supposedly. Right rear channel still pops albeit a lot less frequently. For $1100 between the bass module, the satellites, and the bar, it’s disappointing. And no I don’t have 30 microwave ovens and a crap router… it’s all Fios quantum and the equipment is within range…Bose should stick to NFL headphones.

I bought these speakers because I like the sound Bose puts out. I was told the neighbors would be able to hear them if I watched a good movie. WRONG you can’t hear these 5 feet outside the window. They don’t even sound like Bose speakers. I’ve had better sound out of an off the wall system. Not to mention when I hooked them up and calibrated them it said enjoy your system then went quiet. I called and talked to the supposed home stereo expert at the store and was told it was not compatible with my sound bar. Needless to say they were WRONG again I pushe the Tv button on my remote and they worked. I would not recommend them they have barely any sound.

Hello,
It's great to hear that you like the Bose brand! It's a shame that you felt the speakers did not have the volume level you expected, sound is subjective meaning it will sound different from one individual to the next. With AdaptIQ calibration it will tailor the listening experience to the room and where you are going to be sat listening, the system would not be accounting for a user listening from outside.
Thank you for taking the time to review the Surround Speakers, we really appreciate your feedback.
Should you need any assistance then please call the customer care team.

I bought these open box to go with my SoundBar 300 and Bass Module 500. When we first set them up we heard some connection issues. The sound was cutting in and out. I figured the wires in the back were not secured properly. After tightening them down and going through the AdaptIQ setup, nothing problem continues. I want to like these speakers. I cannot get passed the fact that when we are watching a movie or listening to music the sounds cut out and you can hear it. I am not to pleased with this product.

Hey there,
I am sorry that you've not been able to experience the true benefit of expanding your soundbar system due to these connection issues with your surround speakers.
Do you notice if the connection problems are consistent with the whole system, or just with the surround speakers? Does this happen when all sources of audio are playing?
I'd also recommend looking into the possibility of interference. Do you have the receiver close to other electrical items? It may be worth rearranging them to see if this improves the connection.
If you're unable to resolve the issue, please do not hesitate to reach out to our customer support, we'd love to help. - http://bose.life/globalsupport

Sorry but I bought these for my stepfather as a Christmas gift. To his existing 700 Bose sound bar. Bose 700 Subwoofer and tbh they Bose saying is true the sound bar is alright but for $700 you can get a way better soundbar. Now the Bose saying no highs no lows must be Bose is true. ESPECIALLY with these surround speakers would of been better off buying wireless Klipsch set-up. Please note I have an entire Klipsch 5.2.2 setup 620fS and 4 rm41ms best value for Money.

The speakers are OK. it's the application that you have to use with bose that I find lacking. You cannot adjust the sound quality, it's merely the level of volume and if you can't hook up to the app there is no adjustments that can be made. I returned the rear speakers the sub and the sound bar. Coming from a 7.1 surround sound system to a soundbar just left a lot to be desired. If you have a room that you can use as a theater, meaning you can sit in the middle of it, I'm sure all components work just great.

Hi Abuk.
Thank you for your post. The amount of sound coming from the rear speakers can vary due to the source material being played. Music and most TV shows typically do not have sounds to play through the rear speakers of a surround sound system. Movies and video games typically do have sounds to play through the rear speakers but it will not be constant. You should expect a varying level of audio from the rear speakers depending on what is being played. If you have further questions, don't hesitate to get in touch with us at https://bose.life/3BgUIIU.
