I must say that sometimes I see the value and other times I don’t. I’m not sure if there is something wrong because I purchased open box, or if it’s just the sound available on certain content but sometimes I can’t get the surround speakers to really provide anything and other times I feel like it’s great. I’m thinking of purchasing new and testing it out to see the difference - I will update this review once I have a better idea. Aside from that, they connect effortlessly to the soundbar and look great.

Hi Bradi, I am sorry to hear that you are having issues with the sound quality of the Surround Speakers, If you notice that you aren't hearing much from them, running through the adaptIQ process on the Soundbar 700, Soundbar 900, or the Soundbar Ultra will help calibrate the audio and the surround speakers to give you much better sound quality.
If you are still having issues please reach out to our support and we’ll be happy to help look into this further for you https://bose.life/globalsupport Thanks - Jack Bose customer support

Although i kept it, i wont recommend. Sound complements with my bose 600 but for $400, its not worth adding sorround sound. The sound is hard to hear even though the speaker is just a few feet away. We live in a condo so the 600 works standalone and it sounds great already.

I’m assuming that you have a sub and the sound bar if you’re thinking about buying these. I returned the entire system today because the sub constantly made a popping noise. I had the 700 model sound bar and sub paired with the rear speakers. I was irritated that I could not control the volume with my Apple TV remote. The remote for this thing is huge and it doesn’t control any aspect of the sound except the volume. You have to use an app on your phone to tweak the sound. With a remote this size, you should be able to turn up the bass on the sub. The rear speakers were awesome. It really added to movies and music. You can adjust the volume on the app. That’s pretty nifty. The sound bar sounded great, but the sub constantly made a popping noise. Bose says it’s interference. It sounds great when it’s not popping. For the money I spent on the entire set (sound bar, sub and rear speakers), it shouldn’t pop constantly. I just returned the entire system today. If you want to use your Apple TV remote for volume, don’t buy this. Bose knows about the popping issue. The sub isn’t blown. It pops watching TV with no bass. It also pops listening to music with base. Otherwise it sounded great when it wasn’t popping. This review is bad because of the sub. If your sub doesn’t pop, these are a great addition.

The speakers help with the background noise to the TV or movies but not loud enough for me

Hi there, thank you for sharing your feedback! The Surround speakers are naturally designed to help with the background noise, so they may not come through as strongly. If you're looking for a louder experience, we recommend checking your surround system to ensure all speakers are functioning properly. These are high quality but cannot be volume adjusted as best as I can tell. I'd choose to make them a little louder. They are pricey but seem to be what is required to pair with my Bose soundbar. They didn't automatically connect at first.

Hello Sparkin,
Thanks for the review of your Virtually Invisible 300 wireless speakers. We are sorry to hear about the experience you had with the low volume levels. The amount of sound coming from the rear speakers can vary due to the source material being played. Music and most TV shows typically do not have sounds to play through the rear speakers of a surround sound system. Movies and video games typically do have sounds to play through the rear speakers, but it will not be constant.
We would still love the opportunity to take a look at this further. Please feel free to contact your local Bose Support. Here is a link to get contact info: http://bose.life/2qwENj4. Select your region, scroll down, and click “Contact us”.
Thanks again for the interest in our Bose products and we look forward hearing from you!

Second time getting an open box item. First time was AirPods Max — which still had someone’s iCloud acct locked to it. Had to return. This time, the Bose surround speakers arrived missing one of the two small speaker wire connectors. Also pet hair in box, and food crumbs on bottom/rubber bases of both speakers. Gross. Ended up spending $15 to order part from Amazon overnight vs waiting a week to (unnecessarily) replace the whole thing via BB cust svc. Won’t ever order Open Box from BB again. Even when listed “excellent” condition, they clearly don’t get checked out.

The sound is ok for the money. Pretty small. One speaker was missing the anti-slip pad. And no way to get a pad. I would have to return the set of speakers. Quite the hassle.

The sound from these speakers is wonderful, to comlliment the smart 900 soundbar and the 700 bass module, the whole system sounds amazing. Unfortunately the wireless protocol the system uses is so susceptible to interference that the bass module crackels and pops - not from high volume but from wireless interference. And the rear speakers here just barely make a connection when the transmitter blocks are a mere 15 feet at most from the soundbar. For reference i live in a 500sq ft studio apartment so the system is way overpowered for the space, but the sound is so amazing i chose to keep it and all together feel the $2k was well spent. The ultimate fix being that i had to hardwire the subwoofer using an AUX cable, and i had to rearrange my apartment to accommodate the rear speakers needing closer range to operate.

Thanks for reviewing the Surround Speakers, Scotty! I'm happy to hear that you like the Bose sound and that you decided to keep the speakers, despite having to revert to the backup cable to hardwire the bass module to the soundbar. Although interference should generally not be an issue, it is true that using the hardwiring technique can prevent any wireless signal issues between the bass module and the soundbar from occurring. Pros - Sound quality, compatibility with Bose 700 soundbar and sub Cons - there is no stand available in the market to stand them upright. There is a wall mount available but it's not practical for everyone, since there is no way to hide the power cable. That is why I took 2 stars out. Hopefully next year there will be something available, until then 3 stars.

These sound great with the soundbar. But in my case the soundbar was not consistent so these only work wine. The soundbar work. I wish these were wired vs wireless.

The maximum volume of these speakers is low. I know that they are not eh main speakers, but I would like the option to control them for the movies more than the current default maximum setting. They are excellent for the background voice.

A nice addition to the surround sound experience. A bit expensive and not as space-saving as I would imagine wireless speakers should be.

These are surprisingly way quieter than I was expecting, even when maxed in the app. So quiet that I am not sure it was worth the price these things are. Now the soundbar and sub are phenomenal!

Hello Kreagan,
I am sorry to hear that you are not fully satisfied of your Surround Speakers. If it's not already done, I would suggest configuring the ADAPTiQ with your soundbar, bass module and surround speakers, in order to optimize the sound of your whole system with your room. You can find instructions in the Bose app or contact our support team directly: https://global.bose.com/en_us/index.html

Good sound, but be cautious with the plug-ins from the speaker to the power box. One break with the plastic inverts will cost you around 40 bucks, ridiculous. The speakers aren’t so invisible since they have to have a power source, but they are Bluetooth, plus on the Bose website don’t be fooled that the UFS-20 stands will work with these speakers. They do not. Wish I could give a better review, but it is what it is.

The speakers are good and easy to pair. However, they come with a brick-like adaptor. If you are conscious about the messy wiring , this might not be for you. I thought about returning it a few times. But got adjusted in seeing the adaptor.

They are great except for the extra long cables and the box that comes as a piece of the design I mean where does that even go if you have them on stands...speaking of stands why is there a proprietary mounting bracket...all in all great sound with the sound at 700 but horrible design for functionality.
