Hello bose I just bought two pairs of headphones, unfortunately, after trying them for two days and reviewing the app, downloading the new software and adjusting the settings, I came to the conclusion that they are really not worth the price of $325 with tax. I am not going to deny it, the sound for watching videos and listening to music is incredible but it is not useful for making phone calls, unfortunately for the price it is not worth it. Supposedly these headphones are also useful for listening to calls and walking down the street and keeping an eye on them, but they don't work for calls. I still have the first open earbuds they released (Bose Sport Open Earbuds) and it's a big difference. What solution can you have about this? I have one more week to return them. Update the software to fix the calling issue. On the contrary, unfortunately I will have to return them.

Love the way they fit the ear! Best buds for the fit! But not sound quality! The battery isn’t the best if you charge them together but only wear one and you let the other stay on its charger it’s a waste of your time! Because you should’ve just worn both! It’s not worth the cost! Cheaper models out there way better than this product!

Hi LeslieR, thank you for sharing your experience with your Bose Ultra Open Earbuds. We’re glad to hear you love the way they fit, but we’re truly sorry to learn that the sound quality and battery performance haven’t met your expectations.
It’s common for one earbud to drain its battery more quickly while the other sits in the charging case because most earbuds designate a “primary” earbud. This primary bud manages the Bluetooth connection to your device and relays audio to the secondary bud, so it naturally consumes more power. If you’re only using one earbud while the other is docked, the active one continues working as the main connection point, which explains the uneven battery usage.
We’d like to know more about the battery and sound performance issues you’re experiencing so we can help improve your listening experience. Please feel free to share additional details, and we’ll be happy to assist further. You can reach us through this link: http://bose.life/globalsupport

Hello Alan! We’re sorry to hear that the Bose Ultra Open Earbuds did not fully meet your expectations, and we truly appreciate you taking the time to share your honest feedback. The Ultra Open Earbuds were designed to combine innovative open‑ear technology, premium audio, and all‑day comfort. With their cuff‑like fit, they leave your ears open to hear the world around you while OpenAudio technology delivers rich, private sound. This design is intended to let you enjoy your music while staying aware of your surroundings.
If the earbuds don’t feel secure, it may be due to how they are being worn. We recommend reviewing our official guide: https://bose.life/3MH4Tzs on wearing and adjusting your Bose Ultra Open Earbuds to ensure the best fit. Regarding sound leakage, the earbuds use OpenAudio technology to project sound directly into the ear canal, resulting in minimal leakage at normal listening volumes.
We value your feedback and hope these tips help you get the best experience from your earbuds.

Pros: * Good sound quality when listening to music * Comfortable open-ear design Cons: * Volume is too low * Poor phone call quality * Expensive for the performance Review: The Bose Ultra Open Earbuds sound good when listening to music, and the open-ear design is comfortable. However, the volume is not loud enough. When using just one earbud, it is especially quiet, and even with both earbuds in I have to turn my phone volume all the way up just to hear clearly. Phone calls are the biggest issue. The call quality is awful and most people on the other end cannot hear or understand me. This makes them unreliable for calls. Other users have reported similar problems with microphone and call quality on these earbuds. Overall, while the music quality is decent, the low volume and poor call quality make these hard to justify for the price. If I had been able to try them in the store first, I would not have purchased them.

The fit is amazing, very light weight I give it 5 stars. The overall rating I give 2 stars 1 because the incoming call volume is horrible. I literally can hear any and everything they’re not the least bit noise canceling. Now can I wear them at work and most think they’re a thick pair of earrings yes but not worth my 320.00 I gave them to my husband. Beautiful design but would not recommend to an enemy. The volume is low compared to apple air pods. I spent more time saying what did you say. May be okay for working out listening to low volume but for anything else.

These headphones are amazingly comfortable and the battery lasts the entire work day, but that is where the compliments end. These headphones are HORRIBLE. When both headphones are in, the music is constantly un-synced. When you answer a phone call with them in, it cuts out the first 5 seconds of the call and the person on the other line won't be able to hear you. They will completely disconnect in the middle of a phone call. About once a day I have to reset them because they just stop connecting to my phone. Best Buy has amazing customer service and has replaced these headphones twice, but the problem has persisted in each pair I have received. I want to love these headphones because they're SO comfortable, but for $300, the amount of problems that come with them is not worth it.

I'm on my 11th pair of earbuds now, but i bought these as my 9th. I really loved the concept. I am active, always on call and often in loud environments (truck driver), where i need to keep an ear out for my surroundings. I will say, these are the most comfortable buds on the market. This is by far the best design for fit, ease of putting them on one handed and long term wear. They also sound phenomenal when playing music or books. At full volume, people around me could hear that i was listening to something, but they couldn't tell what. So there is an aspect of privacy there. However. The phone call quality is abysmal. These earbuds want to transmit every single noise, no matter how far away, and blare them at your recipient. When they do decide to transmit your own voice, they prioritize every other noise over it, so to your caller, you sound like you're stuck in a very noisy well. It is awful. And there is no fix. I keep them for 29 days trying to get them to work for my callers, because i loved them so much for my music. There is no positioning, setting, app or other fix to make calls bearable. If you're only using these for media, this is the best product you can buy. If you intend to place a phone call, similar $17 amazon open ear buds sound about the same to your recipient, and at times, better than these. On the 29th day, i was thinking that i was going to keep them for times when i just was listening to things and not making phone calls, while searching for another pair that would excel exclusively for calling. But then the case broke at the hinge. The lid no longer stayed on. What a bummer. I returned them to the store and bought 2 other branded headsets that both work significantly better for calls and are only slightly worse for media. You got so close Bose. But i really expected more out of a namebrand headset approaching $300.

I love how they fit on my ears and that I could still hear others, but I don’t like how low the volume is. Bose is a great brand. They were super easy to connect to my phone. They are comfortable to wear. I didn’t even notice they were on my ears once I put them in. It’s just the sound it doesn’t go loud enough for me. So would I recommend them to others yes or no. If you still need to hear others around you, but you wanna listen to your music these would be a good choice. Another downfall is when you were on the phone talking they can’t hardly hear you.

Hello Tina,
I am glad to hear that you love the comfort and connectivity of your Ultra open earbuds.
Due to their special design and open audio, you will hear your surroundings, as well as your music, so if you are in a particularly busy environment, it can become an issue. In these scenarios, a more traditionally in-ear earbud type could be preferable.

It takes a lot of effort to make the Open Ultra comfortable, but once you get it there it does sound really nice and it can stay there for comfortably for hours. However it is the buggies bose product I've ever used. Often only one earbud worked, requiring me to reset it by putting it in/out of the case. Sometimes even this wouldn't work and I'd have to unpair and re-pair it. This was inconsistent but it did happen way more than it should. More consistently, when starting a video it would take a solid 2 seconds before audio kicked in. If I paused the video, I'd have to go through the same thing. Imagine leaving a tiktok comment, moving on to the next video, only to miss the first 2 seconds of it. Really annoying. I ended up returning it. Not the quality I expect from this brand. I'd probably have stuck with it if it wasn't such a buggy product.

I'm happy to hear you enjoyed the Bose sound from your Ultra Open Earbuds, and that you found a comfortable fit after a while. However, I'm sorry to hear that one earbud wasn't working 100% of the time. Resyncing the earbuds with the case can resolve this, or you can reboot your connected mobile device as this can improve the connection's stability as well.
As for a video's audio not playing immediately, a slight audio/video delay via Bluetooth is normal. However, using a different video app can produce different results, as can resetting your earbuds, see here: https://support.bose.com/s/display-articles?productId=01t8c00000OlcI5AAJ&articleId=ka08c000000hRrFAAU&language=en_US.

Hi David, thanks for your feedback regarding the Ultra Open Earbuds. Great to hear you were impressed by the level of comfort offered, and the button function. For poor voice pickup, this is generally attributed to the way they are placed on the ears. There are tiny holes on the buds which work best when directed towards your mouth and if they're too high, it'll direct external sound into the mics. I recommend readjusting the placement and try another call to see if that helps.

The sound quality is exceptional for what they are. Battery life is good, at least when you can get them to charge. If you are like me and work in or around dusty areas the charging case is complete trash, the prongs get stuck constantly and refuse to charge. I've had them for approximately 3 months, and love the headphones but sadly I can't use them because I can very very rarely get them to actually charge in the case. You can buy a new case, but that's another 100$ for just that when the only problem with the case is that it has ZERO dust resistance, calls on them are ok but sometimes the other party has a hard time hearing me. All in all I was extremely happy with them until the problems with the case. Without the case you can't do anything with them, so if it's not good than the headphones are useless.

I have been a long time fan of the Bose inear headphones. For many platforms ive tried many years ago i was looking for the crisp and clean sound and bose delivered however And unfortunately for me, the open ear was a downright disappointment for the Bose line in my opinion. I was told by one of the employees at Bestbuy that these headphones were rated quite good from alot of people...and well. As a diehard audio guy, these did not deliver that "bose" quality sound. At max volume the sound was crackled, there was also not much bass and it just was not my style of in ear headphones. I gave it 2 stars because the one star was for fitment, it felt good "clipped" to the ear, but i wish it had a little more to out that bud into the ear itself. And the other star was for the idea that Bose was going for. The quality of the sound for me was terrible... the BEST in ear buds ive had from Bose was the ones that were super large and stuck out alot BUT you would twist the bud itself into your outer ear and it would literally fit into place and not fall out at all. The "second generation" for the ultra quiet inear that took a good thing and turned it into something different and made it bad. For that first gen the speaker itself was a little further away from the eardrum and MADE THAT quality crisp with the bass bose has been known for. The second gen...since it was closer to the ear drum it took away some of the max volume of the music and turned it down a bit because it was closer to the ear. So with the open ear....it just washed it away. Idk how much more disappointed i can put into words on how sad i am of what Bose Did with this line.....and asking 300 bucks for it. I did it as a trade in from the utra quiet 2 earbuds for these...and 3 days of use. I returned them and got a giftcard caz i didnt even want the ultra quiet 2's either.

The earbuds sound great and are incredibly comfortable. But that's where the pros end for me. The advertising multipoint pairing does not work. It is a known issue with an update that hasn't been fixed as of yet and was a huge reason why I wanted the headphones originally. I dislike the push button for the audio controls. It forces me to have a decent grip on the headphones to operate. Bose recently made a few cost cutting measures which includes removing a lot of supported languages, including Spanish, which makes no sense. The case felt like it was somewhat cheaply made. The lid never sat completely straight and had some give to it on the hinge, which made it feel extremely cheap. Not great considering the price. At this point it just feels like you're paying for a name and not getting the expected quality. I ended up returning and purchasing another brand that I'm much happier with.

Regarding multipoint pairing, this feature, often referred to as Bluetooth multipoint, allows a single Bluetooth device to connect to multiple source devices at the same time. By default, the Bose Ultra Open Earbuds can be actively connected to up to two devices simultaneously, though audio can only be played from one device at a time. If you’d like to manage or disable the multipoint connection feature, you can do so through the Bose Music App. Simply open the app, go to the Settings menu, and you’ll find the option to adjust multipoint pairing according to your preference.
