It is too easy for me to locate where the sound is coming from even at the lowest frequencies, so it is necessary for me to have two of these in order to make it work. It's a really great product, great build, and the app works like a charm, but it just became twice as expensive.

I was wrestling over which subwoofer to purchase after my 20 year old Velodyne went bad (I loved that sub!). After reading review, after review, I was torn between a few different subs in the $1500-2000 price range. I kept coming back to B&W because I would like to eventually update my front and center channels and I love the sound B&W delivers. My only hesitancy with this purchase was the size of the sub being 10” whereas my older sub was 15” and I questioned if it would deliver the lows to my expectations. Reading all the stats, i.e. how it delivers down to 10 hertz/ 1000 watt amp/ woofer composition/ etc., I decided to take the plunge and go for it. And I Am Glad I Did! This sub delivers better than my 15” sub did, and it goes low, real low! I can’t help but smile when I play music or watch a movie with this thing. It has a nice weight to it, feels like quality, plays extremely clear, no distortion (many subs give noise, Not this sub - it is pure bass). The user app was a little different from what I was accustom to, but easy to figure out and it works fine. Final thoughts, if you are in the market for a subwoofer and are willing to invest $1500+ for one, get this sub! *Also, don’t base your decision on the performance in store... it was not impressive when I heard it at Magnolia theatre, at home it came to life!

About a year ago I was able to purchase B&W 805 D3s off the Best Buy floor. They are great, but lack a little low end. The B&W DB4S give me what I wanted for music and home theater. The 1000w amp is among the biggest in this price range. The size and finish is great -- I didn't want a massive box in my living room. The set up app worked well. Having purchased a number of speaker systems over the years, I hope this is my last purchase (my wife hopes so, too!).

The title says it all. I was tempted to go cheaper and get the SVS Sb-2000 so I bought both to compare. It’s not even close. The DB4S is so much more musical and clear. This sub doesn’t get sloppy with complicated, loud, repetitive Bass rhythms. It’s really filled my very large room well. I’m running a 2.1 setup with the Bowers& Wilkins CM10s2’s. This sub really matches well with them—something I’ve had trouble finding with other subs even at similar price points. It’s possible a better value exists out there, but if you have the Bowers CM Or the 700 series, this is an easy way to get the subwoofer element of your setup near perfect The app is basic, but it works well and makes room correction easy .

Loved this sub once I got it set up. It’s a little nuanced with the app setup but works well.

Found this open box at 50% off. So, yeah, nothing under $1,000 compares to this — and I figured it would be a nice match with my 606s. Bass is tight and with 1000 watts and a range down to 10hz, it’ll go as loud and deep as you could want. Just for fun, I ran a 12hz tone at near 100% volume. It was below what I could hear but the whole house rattled. That was fun for about 6 seconds before it tripped the house circuit.

Lots of power and hits very low frequencies. Closed sub moves fast enough for music. Only issue is to make changes you need to go thru app. Was placed in room size 16 x 30 with 10' ceilings... more than enough and will rattle your cabinets.

This is an excellent sub woofer! Simple to hook up. It worked straight away. Blue tooth App setup was very easy. Sounds excellent. Highly recommended. Note that it is a "self powered" 1000W unit. So..., no extra amp required. Only needs a line level input from an AVR (audio video receiver), or whatever. It is kinda pricey, but worth it, ...IMHO. I would definitely buy it again.

I first connected the speaker to my sound system, I could not hear the speaker. Once home theater movie function click, it sound great. Better than going to the theater paying all the extra to have that movie theater feel. The bass speaker hit in and everything sound like major thunder storm, earthquake or the best concert ever!!! Much worth the cost!!!! My wife wasn’t happy with what I paid until she heard the sound.. now she’s in theater mode all the time. Great for all television experience. The HD channels sound super awesome.

Got this opened box for a great price and im glad i grabbed it when i did. It matches the output of my SVS 12 inch subwoofer with ease and is about half the size. It is a truly high end subwoofer!

The bass is so rich and on point it blows every other sub out of water. Insanely powerful and beautiful bass response.

Great sub, comparable to my more expensive Vandersteens, can be cranked up and boomey if that's what you want. On the other hand, if you want musical it delivers.

$1500 ...... did I do the right thing ? Oh yeah I did! Superb base - clean without being staccato in bass delivery . My wife and daughter are two rooms away watching a James Bond flick while I take a shower. It was a throbbing in the air and on the floor and I was wondering if a train was passing . But we have no train next to our house it was the sub woofer and it sounded great. Paired it with some Bowers and Wilkins 700 series speakers too. Absolutely fantastic sound experience .

This sub sounds very good, big bass. but not to happy with only using the app to control the functions and volume. And no on off switch

I’m a snob, about many things, especially audio components. This product is a winner. The build quality is exceptional and the unit provides a nice balance of bass heft and agility. In contrast to some reviewers, when I installed this unit in Q4’20, I had good luck with the app-assisted setup process. I ran the app for the sub and then re-ran Audessey for my entire system to re-balance everything.

Just purchased my 2nd B&W 10'' subwoofer!! The sound is amazing. Music and movies. You will not be disappointed with this subwoofer. Have these paired with 705 S2, future will get the 805 D4!! The sound is so clear and precise. It hits hard at high volume. Will not bottom out!! Would highly recommend, it's worth the money if you can afford it, great purchase for your system, had them for a few months, very happy I got them!!

Plays nice and blends very good with my Bowers and Wilkins speakers in my home theater room to set it up first use the room correction with your audio receiver and then set it up using the subwoofer app using a iPhone then match it with the Bowers and Wilkins speakers that you have or also with other brand of speakers . Great Subwoofer from Bowers and Wilkins I highly recommend this subwoofer .

If you're looking for perfectly timed, hard hitting yet, tonal bass then, look no further. It goes LOW and set up is a breeze. I have this sub running with a pair of B&W 702 S2's and couldn't be happier, the attack and decay is phenomenal. If you're into sound then you should get one of these. If you're just simply into noise then this would be wasted on you...deserves 10 stars...happy listening
