I am happy with my purchase. I use this oven almost everyday to toast bread, reheat leftovers, make frozen pizza, fries etc. it works very good. I read reviews saying the timer is loud but maybe it was loud in older models because mine is not loud at all. 4 stars because top and back get very hot, make sure the power cord is secured in the back cord holders (see picture) so it won’t melt if left touching the back of oven, and don’t place anything that could melt on top. We are all adults so, we are careful. Size is perfect, not too big not too small.

My reason for purchasing this oven was to save electricity and prevent the kitchen from getting heated when using my regular kitchen stove each time I wanted to reheat or bake a small amount of food. My Mini Smart Oven toasts up to four pieces of bread on the preset 3-minute setting. The toast is always perfect with a brown outside and slightly soft inside. The instruction booklet has 70 pages in English and 72 pages in other languages. The booklet goes into great detail, often repeating basic information. This oven is very sturdy and well-built. I like the size of this Mini Smart Oven, since it fits perfectly on my counter. I'm glad I didn't purchase one of the larger Breville Smart Ovens, since I can use my regular kitchen stove for larger quantities of food. The larger Breville Smart Ovens were also more expensive. My only complaint about the Breville Mini Smart Oven is the price. I think a lot of people would choose a less expensive toaster oven and be almost as satisfied. My last toaster oven cost about $50, but the toast wasn't as perfect as the toast made in this Breville oven. Is perfect toast worth the extra $100? You can be the judge of that.

Amazing! Small and compact. Works so well! Only removing one star because the bigger model brings a pizza plate and this one doesn’t !

I purchased this a month ago for my wife and me. We are working "empty nesters" in our 60's. I opted for the compact size and intuitive controls -- as opposed to more complex features. It is success on those counts. It is also good looking. We have used most of the settings and they work well. The "a bit more feature" is useful... even for toast. The optional Breville pans that you can purchase separately (broiler pan insert and 11 inch [no more] pizza pan) seemed pricey. There is no interior light, and I thought it would have been useful.

Nice compact toaster oven. Biggest plus - very soft beeping noise when it is done toasting - doesn't wake up everyone in the house! Could benefit from a longer toast setting - I like my toast a little on the dark side and sometimes I have to put it in again. Does not take up too much counter space. Metal near the handle gets hot - so be careful when opening.

This is my first toaster oven, because I did not want one taking up a lot of space and cluttering my counter. This is a perfect size that I can either work around or easily pick up and move to my cabinet. Very easy to operate and can clearly understand instruction booklet. Very versatile for such a small oven. Excellent reheating ability. They are not kidding when instructions state that the top gets very hot. I would be concerned if kids could reach it. Also, I wish the oven alert was either a little louder or gave more than 3 short beeps, so that you would hear it in other rooms over competing noises.

I bought the Breville Mini Smart Oven based on a recommendation from a friend. I was tired of having toaster ovens only last a year. So far, so good but I have only had it for a little over a month. Cleans easily, does a good job of toasting.

great, small toaster over. it's large enough to heat a small pizza. heats up much quicker than regular oven and doesn't heat up the kitchen. toasts as well as most toasters.

Only reason I gave a four star is that the toast doesn’t come out the same on both sides. My old Breville did better. I like the small size for my small counter space. I use the Breville often for baking and roasting. It is my go to oven.

This is my first toaster oven, ive always used a toaster. I mainly use it for bagels and toast. It does toast well if yiu do not mind rack lines in your toast. I toatsed a large tortilla and it toated the back edged to a crisp while keeping the front ok. I donlike the fact i do not have to flip my toast. The exterior gets very hot, i do not recommend children using this. We use it everyday, simple to use and clean.

Love the controls and the "just a bid more". Punch it 1 time for muffin instead of toast and 2 times for garlic bread. The oven door is why I didn't give it 4 stars. It doesn't fold open flat as it should and the bread crump tray opens about an inch when the oven door opens. Great oven a a good price.

Really good toaster oven. We’ve owned several over the years and went right back to Breville for a new one. A little pricey but strongly recommend. We bought this with a Best Buy gift card that was damaged. Couldn’t read the card number after scratching off the foil on the back. Ruben, in customer service, is the definition of exceeding expectations. He went out of his way to get this problem corrected. He gets five stars.

Easy to use, perfect size, excellent results. Wish there was a way to hang it under a cabinet rather than sit on limited counter space.

I like the even toasting that this oven gives. It is slightly smaller, which works well for our counter space, but makes it an inch too short for standard frozen pizzas (which we don't normally buy). It has a digital control, which is more cumbersome to set than the old style analog controls, where you just turn the knob to add time or adjust the temperature. But overall this is working well for us.

Nice machine. Toasts great. But have to use the highest setting for English muffins. A little small though. Wish I got the larger one. But does all that I need it to do, so far. Also a little pricey.

This is actually a fantastic oven for toasting (which is all I have ever used it for). The controls and ease of use are the best I have ever seen, and the toast is evenly and precisely done. Yet I took away a star because I really wanted a Balmuda (which was too expensive for my value equation)...so this poor Breville is never going to be small enough(it is wider than you would think), cute enough, or steam-toasty crisp enough in my mind. In my mind to Balmuda toast qualities that I have never verified in real life. Till now, sort of. I did notice that the Le Meridien Myeongdong did use a Balmuda to toast the muffin in their egg florentine. I did have that egg florentine and that muffin was indeed crispy -toasty outside and moist-fluffy on the inside. Was that the Balmuda? Aigoo!!

I had an earlier version, and I like it much better. But this one work fine. Like being able to cook so many things. It seems to cook quicker, so I have had to adjust cooking times.

For what it is, it’s a very good toaster oven. I’m a little frustrated with myself for paying 159$ for something that’s just a small step above a basic $60 black and decker type toaster oven, but it does keep consistent temperature and seems pretty well screwed together. The problem I guess is it is not the level of quality and detail the larger Breville ovens are. Totally different machine. Overall happy with what it does but don’t feel it’s worth the price.

I like that it is small and very easy to use, I usually cook small quantities and this is perfect... if you want to bake something it needs more time than a conventional oven but so far I'm happy with this purchase.
