About This Item
In 1990, Brigitte moved to the Bay Area of California where she studied guitar with bluegrass greats Peter Rowan and Tim O'Brien, Del McCoury, Scott Nygaard and David Grier, and also trained vocally with Judy Davis. July 2000 marked a new milestone for Brigitte DeMeyer, as she released her self-written and produced debut CD, Another Thousand Miles. While her sweet voice and expressive vocalization are at the forefront of the band's sound, it is the intersection of country and soul that probably best describes the flavor of Another Thousand Miles.
