In 1985, the Dinobots gained popularity with their innovative approach, adding five transforming mecha-dinosaurs to the Autobot army, which had previously been primarily made up of members who transformed into cars. Their commander, Grimlock, now appears as a completely new Missing Link, equipped with numerous additional features. Grimlock transforms from a mechanical Tyrannosaurus into a robot.While still using die-cast parts, both forms feature movable joints, allowing for flexible posing. The colorful mechanical details that were recreated with stickers in the previous toy are now recreated with 3D sculpting and meticulous painting. The included saber weapon is silver-plated to evoke the Diaclone era, and the sharp tip is made of hard plastic. Two handheld guns are also included a double laser gun and a missile launcher. The missile launcher39s missiles have been removed for added imaginative play.
