This Cable Leader 14 AWG shielded computer power cord is a standard 3-prong AC power cable with a NEMA 5-15P plug for any 120V outlet, power strip, or UPS and an IEC C13 connector for the C14 inlet on your device, rated 15A at 125V for up to 1875W. A grounded shield, bonded to the ground pin by a drain wire, wraps all three conductors to help keep the cord's electrical noise out of nearby cables, inside a black SJT jacket with molded ends and UL Listed construction. A universal power cord for any device using an IEC C14 inlet, including PCs, monitors, printers, projectors, powered speakers, and amps. Best for: a computer cord, monitor cord, or amp power cord in a crowded desk, rack, or AV cabinet, or a high-wattage PC power supply (PSU). This cord adds a grounded shield: a shield layer wraps all three conductors, and a drain wire bonds it to the ground pin at both ends, helping contain the electrical noise an unshielded cord gives off near audio, video, and network cables. It still works as a direct replacement for any standard 3-prong computer cord.
Three 14 AWG copper conductors are rated for a 15 amp load at 125 volts, up to 1875 watts, which is 50 percent more current than a typical 10A 18 AWG computer cord. The black SJT jacket is VW-1 flame-rated and rated to 105°C, yet flexible enough to route behind a desk, through rack cable management, or into an AV cabinet. Both the NEMA 5-15P plug and the C13 connector are molded over the terminations for strain relief during repeated plugging. The 3 ft length works as a short power cord for tight setups.
