Running a switch, server or multi-PSU chassis on the thin cord that came in the box? This IEC C13 to C14 heavy duty power cord carries 15A at 250V on 14 AWG three-conductor copper, two gauge steps above the 10A 18 AWG cordset most equipment ships with, so the cable is never the weak link in the rack. The C14 male end goes into any free C13 outlet on a PDU, UPS or rack strip and the C13 female end goes onto the equipment inlet, adding reach without touching the cord already run to the wall. A flexible SJT jacket rated to 105C and fully molded connectors resist cracking where the cable meets the plug. Compatible with any device using a standard IEC 60320 C14 power inlet and any C13 outlet on a PDU, UPS or surge protector; six jacket colors let you tag A-side and B-side feeds on sight. UL Listed, RoHS compliant. Best for: high-draw rack equipment and long runs where voltage drop matters. Not for: wall outlets, or C19/C20 and C5/C7 equipment.
Use it as a power cord extender between the outlet strip and the gear instead of pulling a whole new run. The C14 male end goes into a spare C13 outlet on a PDU, UPS or rack strip; the C13 female end goes onto the equipment inlet. Lengths from 1 to 15 ft cover the short hop between adjacent rack units and the long reach across a cabinet, and this power cord extension also works as a replacement when the original is lost or damaged.
Undersized cordage runs hot and drops voltage under load. This power extension cable uses three 14 AWG copper conductors - two gauge steps heavier than the 18 AWG cord most gear ships with - in a flexible SJT jacket rated to 105C, giving a 15 amp power cord rating at 250V. That headroom is what switches and multi-supply chassis want at startup. 14AWG power cord construction throughout. UL Listed, RoHS and REACH compliant.
Available in black, red, blue, white, green and yellow so redundant A-side and B-side feeds can be told apart at the back of a rack without tracing a cable by hand. Fully molded connectors and integral strain relief resist cracking where the cord meets the plug. Note that 14 AWG conductor is stiffer than a standard cord, so allow a wider bend radius in cable arms. Indoor rated for racks, data centers and equipment rooms.
Each production run is sample-tested for continuity, polarity and current rating before it ships. Manufactured to RoHS environmental standards. If your cord arrives defective or stops working in normal use, Cable Leader handles the replacement request directly - no manufacturer redirects.
