When a rack PDU or UPS sits too far from connected equipment, this power extension cord adds reach without a wall-plug adapter. The IEC C20 male plug connects to a C19 receptacle on the source, while the high-temperature IEC C15 female connector mates with a C16 inlet and also fits a standard C14 inlet on compatible rack equipment. Three 14 AWG copper conductors support a 15 amp rating at 250V (3750W), and the 105°C/221°F SJT jacket plus fully molded strain relief helps this IEC power cord withstand warm, densely packed cable-management environments. Use the C15 power cord as a replacement cord or computer power cord extension in data centers, server rooms, network closets, lab benches, and high-density computing installations after confirming both connector shapes and the equipment rating. Best for: extending power from an IEC C19 PDU or UPS outlet to equipment with an IEC C16 or C14 inlet; Not for: standard wall outlets, C20 equipment inlets, incompatible IEC connectors, outdoor locations, or loads above 15A at 250V.

Use this 3-prong power cord extension to reach from an IEC C19 output on a compatible PDU or UPS to equipment with a notched C16 high-temperature inlet or a standard C14 inlet. The C20 male plug goes to the power source; the C15 female connector goes to the equipment. It is useful for server racks, data centers, network closets, storage systems, and lab benches where ordinary wall-plug cords are not the right interface.
Built around the IEC 60320 C20-to-C15 interface, three 14 AWG copper conductors carry up to 15 amps at 250 volts (3750 watts). The heavier construction provides more current headroom than common 16 or 18 AWG IEC cords, while the SJT jacket remains flexible for routing through rack cable managers. Always verify the outlet, equipment inlet, and connected load are compatible before use.
Both ends are 3-prong IEC 60320. Quick check: C19 outlet on PDU or UPS - Yes. C16 or C14 inlet on equipment - Yes. Standard wall outlet - No. C20 equipment inlet - No. Equipment requiring a C13, C19, or C21 cord connector - No. Load above 15A at 250V - No.
The C15 connector is designed for high-temperature C16 inlets and also mates with standard C14 inlets. A 105°C/221°F SJT jacket, fully molded connector bodies, and integrated strain relief help protect the cable at the points that flex most during installation, removal, and rack reconfiguration. Indoor use only; keep away from water, damage, and sharp bends.
Sample-tested during production for continuity, polarity, and current rating. If your cord arrives defective or stops working in normal use, Cable Leader handles replacement requests directly. A cable specialist can also help verify whether C20-to-C15 is the correct connector combination for your PDU, UPS, or equipment inlet.
