Need more than three feet between the laptop and the dock? This Cable Leader USB4 Gen 2x2 cable gives you a 6.6ft run carrying 20Gbps of data transfer, up to 240W of charging, and 4K 60Hz video on a single USB-C connection. USB4 and USB 4 are the same standard, so either spelling works. The built-in E-Marker chip declares 5A and Extended Power Range to the host, so USB Power Delivery 3.1 can negotiate the full 48V/5A path that gaming laptops and mobile workstations need when a 100W cable stalls them. Inside, ten individually shielded 31 AWG coaxial lines carry the high-speed pairs and two 23 AWG tinned-copper conductors carry the 5A power path. Compatible with MacBook Pro, Dell XPS, ThinkPad, Surface, Galaxy, iPad Pro, Steam Deck and USB-C docking stations, and backward compatible with USB 3.2, 3.1, 3.0 and 2.0 hosts. Best for: reaching a monitor or dock across a desk with data, video and 240W charging on one cable. Not for: 8K displays, dual 4K setups or 40Gbps transfers, which need a USB4 Gen 3x2 40Gbps cable. At 6.6 ft it is long enough to reach a display on a monitor arm or a tower under the desk, where a 3ft cable leaves you stretching. Move files off an NVMe SSD enclosure at 20Gbps, drive a 4K 60Hz screen, and run 240W fast charging on a gaming laptop at the same time. Both ends are USB-C and reversible.
A USB-C cable without an E-Marker chip is limited to 3A, which caps charging at 60W no matter how strong the charger is. This cable carries an E-Marker that declares 5A and Extended Power Range to the host, so USB Power Delivery 3.1 can negotiate up to 48V/5A — 240W. The E-Marker requirement and the 48V/5A EPR path are both defined by the USB-IF in the USB Type-C and USB Power Delivery specifications.
The ten high-speed conductors are individually shielded 31 AWG silver-coated-copper coaxial lines, and two 23 AWG tinned-copper conductors carry the 5A power path over the full two metres. A 25-micron copper foil wraps the bundle against interference. Connectors are double-molded, polyamide resin inside and PVC outside, in a PC and ABS shell. The 5.0mm PVC jacket is VW-1 flame-rated.
