This refrigerator with built in hot water/Keurig Brewing System was the perfect solution for our newly built home. New kitchen had no filtered/hot water dispenser and builder told us if we added one it would void the builder warranty on everything in our kitchen island (I know, right). We needed a refrigerator so I was amazed when I came across this French door refrigerator from Cafe that offered the perfect solution, filtered water/ice/hot water/Keurig brewing all built into the door. It is a beautiful frig and works perfectly. Best Buy first delivery/installation team was not so good but they sent out a true professional very quickly and had everything corrected. Outstanding service from Best Buy. I had never before purchased appliances from Best Buy but will go to them first for future needs. Highly recommend.

I have only had the fridge for a couple of weeks and I highly recommend it. However, I do not recommend purchasing it with Best Buy delivery company unless you are willing to wait for at least 6 week delivery time. Keep in mind that Best Buy system and their 3rd party delivery company ecosystem don't sync with each other, so you will get different stories depending on who you talk to. PROS: My favorite part of this fridge is the water filter. Compared to another competitor fridge made in South Korea, it is much more superior. It really does take the chlorine taste out of the water for a nice refreshing drink. This fridge keeps my food nice and cold. After loading fresh groceries in the fridge, I like to turn on the Turbo Cool to eliminate any moisture due to the fridge being opened longer than normal. It comes with 2 grey tray liners for easier clean up on the right door, but GE really should have provided 3 for the last tray at the bottom. I love the 90 photos that I can upload to the LCD screen. It does turn off on it's own eventually and the next time you open the fridge door the photos continue in a slideshow preview. The consumer doesn't have control of when the LCD screen will go to sleep/dark, which is unfortunate because I think it stays on for about 30-60 minutes or maybe longer, which is not a bad thing but long term your LCD screen will burn out sooner than normal. The hot water dispenser and Keurig is very easy to use. The precise fill is also easy to use. The dispenser is nice and tall to fill up tall glasses. The ice maker so far seems to be working well. The bottom freezer storage is plenty for a family of 4-6. CONS: The biggest disappointment for me is the Cafe iPhone App. I was expecting the app to be my control center that is on my LCD, so that way when my LCD does go out, I have another way to control my fridge settings. Instead all I get on the home section is my fridge is not heating, schedule service, troubleshooting and contact us. The control section, I can schedule my hot water schedule so that my coffee/tea is ready when I go to my fridge but there is not way of clear the schedule on a certain day. Since the K-Cup does take a while to set to the right temperature, the schedule is a nice feature, so most customer won't find this as a con. GE might be expecting Alexa to do these things for you instead, since you can tell it to make hot water, turn TurboCool on or off, or set the fridge temp to specific temperature. The blue plastic on the fridge is very difficult to remove if your delivery person doesn't cut it just right. GE tells me to use baby oil and not olive oil to remove the blue plastic, which I haven't tried yet. The Drip Tray at the bottom scratches very easily, which I found out while trying to dispose the 2 gallons of water GE recommends before drinking the water. I would recommend leaving the blue plastic on the drip tray until you dispose the 2 gallons they recommend or putting a towel underneath. If you are comparing the GE Profile to GE Cafe Keurig model, keep in mind that Temp Select Zone Colored LED lights only come in the GE Profile and is not an option on the Cafe or an option to upgrade. My daughters were more disappointed that the Cafe didn't come with colored LED lights. Although, the ice maker is working well, the one complain I have is the crush ice does tend to go on the drip tray and the floor but I am not sure what GE can do to prevent this.
