Are the knobs plastic or stainless steel?
The knobs have a stainless steel appearance, and are made of die cast metal.
Does this cooktop have automatic reignition?
No, the CGP95302MS1 does not have the automatic reignition feature.
When converting to LP, do the BTUs change at all?

Are there aftermarket metal replacement knobs available? Is the lighting part of the knob? It appears that only MONOGRAM offers metal knobs. Are they compatible with cafe & profile cooktops?
No, there aren't any aftermarket knobs available. The knobs are made of a high temp plastic and offer a stainless appearance. If they were stainless, the knobs would be too hot to touch. The lighting is part of the knob. Joyce@CafeAppliances
Given the number of complaints regarding the knobs on your appliances, when will GE change them to metal knobs or at least provide optional metal knobs that can be purchased separately? I am considering other brands and lines SPECIFICALLY because of this
