Where can I get more of the descale powder for this device?
Answered by Cafe AppliancesHello - we checked the information for this unit, and we recommend using one of our icemaker cleaning solutions that can also be used as a descaler in our expresso machines. Where is the water heated? Is it in the plastic reservoir? I'm trying to understand all the materials used to heat the water, and if the water comes into contact with plastic, when heated. Thank you!

Plastic does come in contact with the coffee during the brewing process and the plastic is BPA free. All wetted parts are BPA free. We hope you find this information helpful. Can you make a cappuccino, latte and cafe creme with this machine? Or does it need a separate frother?
Answered by Cafe AppliancesThanks for checking with us. Yes, this Espresso Machine does have the steam feature and can be used to make an unlimited number of espresso-based drinks. Frothed milk drinks like Cappuccinos and Lattes are classics enjoyed by many. You'll want to brew your espresso before using the steam feature. The steam function requires higher temperatures than espresso and brewing espresso immediately after steaming will affect the taste of the espresso. I got the Matt Black espresso machine. the disposal box is missing and it give me alarm empty waste. no steam or hot water or function working.

In the meantime, we have cleaning solutions for icemakers that can also be used as a descaler in our expresso machines. You can use part numbers WX08X42870 or P4INKCLEAN, which can be purchased by giving our parts team a call at 1-877-959-8688 M-F 9AM-7PM EST or by visiting the GE Appliances Parts website. Alternatively, a 1:1 ratio of water and white vinegar can be used as a cleaning solution for the descaling process.
