I did my measuring at home and my research at consumer reports and purchased this replacement cook top for our 35 year old Thermador cooktop. We love the look and love the functionality of this cooktop. Our electrician remarked that Cafe is a GE appliance and that it is usually easier to find replacement parts on American company products like this cooktop. Great product!

We purchased this about a month ago. It is great! Very easy to use. Love the timer. Cooking is a breeze and very easy to control temperature.

Great cooktop. Looks sharp and has many features. Induction cooking with no heat after turn off. Rapid boil is helpful feature.

Do not buy this cooktop. First of all, this is an induction cooktop, even though Best Buy does not have the correct name. Secondly, it just does not work properly. This is my 2nd GE induction cooktop because the first one (a different model) did not work either. I had a GE tech out to service this one, and his computer diagnostics came up with a service advisory... a known issue with the touch controls and radio frequency interference. He came out a 2nd time to install the GE recommended part and it did not fix this issue. Even with the new part, the touch controls still don't respond as intended. I'm done with GE induction cooktops and now I'm on to try a different brand.

STAY AWAY at all cost, worst cooktop I've ever purchased. I bought this in May 2024 and have had to have repairmen out to my house 3 times. I have currently been wiating over 2 months for GE to repair it a 3rd time!! Apparently regular 2.5ghz or 5 ghz signals interfere with it and render it useless, even though it will turn on and appear to be working. SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE AND STAY AWAY! I thought GE Cafe was a good, trustworthy brand, until I purchased this lemon!

We’re very pleased with our purchase of the Cafe induction stove top. It is unbeatable how quickly it heats our food and how easy it is to clean.

I bought this model because the cut out is small. I also love not having "knobs" on an electric cooktop since it's difficult to clean. I do love the sleek design of this cooktop. However, it has little white dots all over the cooktop instead of a smooth black ceramic glass look. The little white dots traps dirt and grease, making it very difficult to clean. I use the recommended method and even with a small drop of water, I have to clean it extensively like I spilled a huge pile of grease. It's a pain in a but to keep it clean and also the wait time for this cooktop delivery was very long. I ordered it at Bestbuy at the beginning of Feb 2023 and didn't get it until the end of May 2023 (not Best Buy's fault, but this is considered a special order Best Buy and thus it took forever to arrive). Save yourself money and time and stay away from this cooktop.
