The Canon EEOS Rebel is easy to learn & use for beginner camera enthusiasts. I had a 2005 Nikon D80 which failed and considering my limited income and type of non-professional usage decided the Canon was a better value for options (2 lens kit, bag, etc.) & purchase price.

Went to the Barksdale Air Force Base Air show this week, and while many of the pictures came out amazing others also had this glaring affect on the Jets that looks horrible. I have mixed feelings about this camera. It is easy to use, but I don’t understand what the glaring affect is. Probably good for basic photography but more advanced photography will need a better camera than this one.

This is not a bad camera for a beginner. The kit lenses are extremely convenient to receive with the body. I was not thrilled with the 9 (versus 100+ of comparable cameras) autofocus points. I have upgraded to a different Canon within three months of my original purchase. If you’re looking to get into photography at a serious or even semi-serious level, unfortunately I honestly would not recommend this camera.

I’m just learning how to manipulate the camera. Was told by an expert that this was the best camera for a newcomer

The quality of the photos is still mode is great, the lens speed isn’t ideal for action photos. Good for beginners

Great camera for the price. I bought it specifically for videos, but the kit lenses aren’t great for videos. Also, there is no video AutoFocus which is MUCH needed, only AF in photographs. It takes really great pictures though. I recommend for beginner photographers.

Decent camera for beginners, but most features wanted to use are on a mirror less camera. Camera is very picky when it comes to lighting. For action it can get a little blurry too.

Great camera for everyday photography. But not suitable for enthusiasts. Good one for beginners and casual shooters.

Good start up camera if you are looking to begin a new hobby and don't have much experience. Beginner friendly, out of the 2 lens, if you don't purchase additional lens, you will mainly use 18-55mm.

I bought this camera cause the reviews where easy camera not for me plus customer service isn't the best to help with questions. They limit how many questions u can ask. Love the camera so far.

Easy to use camera. Figuring out the operating system was a breeze and it takes the best pictures. When we needed this camera for a wedding it was the perfect piece 9f equipment.

it may be just me but i was seeking a less complicated camera than this one. also i was used to an asahi pentax 35mm film camera and this camera had so many settings that i would never use. i was looking for a camera i just set the aperture and speed-- then point, focus and click.

I have always used Canon cameras for family, recreational, and event shooting. This is a great product for ease of use for everyday and special events and hobbies. I have three other Canon cameras and loan them out to students all the time. The only thing I don’t so much like that is different from all my other Canon cameras is that the shutter release on this camera is loud and clunky. I have even considered returning it for that reason. The body is lighter and maybe that is a factor but there are certain events that I can’t use it at because of this sound.

Amazing starter camera. Just a lil too bulky for my liking

Bought this camera as a backup for a photographer, she says it's pretty decent but still prefers her Nikon. I don't think it has anything to do with the quality of the camera but rather the personal preference of the shooter. I think the lens' that come with the camera are amazing - having the long range zoom lens out of the box is clutch when you can't spring for that extra lens.
