I have used this camera a couple times, around 340 pictures. It is doing pretty good, it has very good zoom, taking beautiful pictures even in moving targets, like a people, animals, even running car wheels. It is pretty awesome and easy to carry it. Battery life is good enough, I have charged twice for the 340 plus the erased ones. I just would like to have some more options for editing pics. Wifi works good as well, it was the main reason because we bougth the cam. For the price it is completely awesome small 20 pixels camera.

I have used this camera multiple times since purchase and it takes great photos for a point and shoot camera. My only complaint is the charging system, which requires you to take the battery out and plug it into the proprietary battery charging system. I had thought that you could use the usb data cable and plug it in to charge, but that will not work. This requires you to bring that additional accessory along with you or have multiple batteries, which usually isn't too big of a deal. Aside from that one issue, this item is definitely a good purchase. There are relatively few point and shoot cameras in this price range that also boast the 20 megapixel resolution that this does. -- This review allows only for photos to be uploaded with 5 mb or less of image size and the majority of the images that I have shot with this range between 7 mb and 12 mb, so I found 2 photos that were under this file size that were shot with the camera. They are definitely not the best ones that were shot, but may help. These were literally the only 2 I had that were under or equal to 5 mb.

I bought this to supplement my Nikon Coolpix 520, as I wanted something "pocketable." While it takes excellent photos, it does take noticeably longer to take a photo once the button is tripped. I suspect that is the image stabilization working, but not completely sure. Appreciate the built-in wifi feature...it's relatively simple to use, and I was able to capture some nice snaps of a hummingbird feeding using it. Overall, it's a good deal for the money.

I was in the field doing work away from home when my old camera had a problem. Searched on-line and found the Canon. In the store looked at several others and with input with the salesman, decided on this model. I don't regret it. It worked great and the pictures were all I expected.

I use it for copying genealogical records for my family history. It is mounted on a board that is clamped on a microfilm viewer, the wide-angle lens is perfect to view the total image. A Sony app is available to remotely control the camera shutter, and images are automatically saved on a cellphone, tablet or PC. Unfortunately I have not been able to use the wi-fi camera app provided by Sony, the software is difficult to get working on a Samsung tablet. One problem is precisely zooming the lens with the tiny lever provided. I may have to provide a much larger control knob.

I purchased this camera last minute simply because I was leaving on a cruise and couldn’t find my camera. Knowing that the misplaced camera will eventually turn up, I didn’t want to spend a lot but also wanted a decent camera for my trip and this fit the bill. It is smaller and lighter than the camera I can’t find at the moment which I enjoyed but it’s features are a little harder to access because they are somewhat buried in menus. It worked great as a point and shoot even without the additional features. I took the book with me but never got around to reading it. I played around and managed to find the settings I wanted but am sure it does way more if I would take the time to learn about it. I do like the 10X zoom and got some great pictures so all in all, I am pleased. I deducted one star simply because I prefer my other camera that has a dial for commonly used settings like macro, scenery etc so that you don’t have to waste time navigating thru menus.

This is my fifth or sixth PowerShot, going back to the original film versions. I really like it, but that might have something to do with its familiar interface and form factor for me. It's really fast and easy to turn on and take a picture with it, even using the zoom, and the same for taking videos. And it's really small. The resulting picture quality is excellent, with the possible exception of poorly lit subjects, which tend to blur sometimes. I mostly display stuff on 40-50 inch screens. It doesn't have a touch screen or an optical viewfinder, neither of which is a limitation for me. It would be nice to have 1080p video rather than just 720p, but I mostly do stills and I chose not to spend the additional $30, so maybe the next model up next time. I tend to take a lot of pictures, 300-up per day when traveling, so battery life is important, but I've never needed to use more than two batteries in one day, and they charge up quickly, much better than earlier models. Nevertheless, get a spare. Unless you do a lot of dark indoor or night photography, or you need more than 720p video, I think you'll like this camera a lot. With a 10x optical zoom it's better than your phone, and it's small enough to keep with you all the time.

Camera is light, small, and fits nice in pocket. Starts up quickly. Most of the time in ‘Auto’ mode most of the features seem to work just fine. It finds faces, focuses, and tracks them well. Changes to ‘Macro’ for close ups. White balance under different lights keep whites white. The WiFi has not connected. Have tried twice about a half hour each time before giving up. The memory card fits slot on computer and that works just fine. My old camera has a dial to set basic ’Program’ settings; mountain, portrait, low light, fireworks, vivd color, etc… This camera you have to use the screen and ‘function’ button and then up, down, left, or right function to get to common program modes. Some settings are saved so with one button push you can get back to last setting, others are reset back to factory. My issue is the ‘mountain’ program setting which I use very often. First, it is not saved and you have to go thru about five button pushes to reset it. Second, the focus is not locked at ‘infinity’, its range is from 9 feet to infinity. Which means it keeps focusing on near objects. From inside my deck doors I know have many pictures of a deck railing in focus an out of focus deer in yard. Also from car I have an in focus guardrail and out of focus bear with cubs in field. There is a work around for the focus issue that takes only a few seconds but sometimes you just don’t have the time to push shutter half way and make sure it focuses on main subject; mountain setting should not need to find subject to focus.

We have had series of these going back to the 3megapixel days. Each one has gotten smaller and easier to use. This one has the added benefit of the wi-fi, which makes easy to transfer the pictures to my iPhone.

Overall: I would recommended this camera. It's easy to use, takes great photos and has other options that I'm still learning and having fun with. Don't forget to buy batteries and your memory card, it doesn't come with either.

Great little camera. Small size is great for on the road. I take a lot of photos' of Masonic Lodge buildings, the corner stones and the art work on the building. The camera works great with the zoom. The new battery with charger is so much better than the old way with the AA batteries. Its small size makes it easy to travel with and is also great for takings pictures fo family and friends. Its easy to use and works well.

I had one similar this for years and finally, after dropping it repeatedly every year, I had to get a new one, now a few model numbers higher. Trick is to put strap on wrist any time I use it. It is easy to carry in my pocket or purse, though I usually use a small carrying case with room for extra cards and battery pack. It is so user friendly, photos and videos come out very nicely, and the battery is long lasting.
