Charvel - Pro-Mod Series San Dimas PJ IV Electric Bass Guitar, Satin Black

After a careful revival of the classic Charvel San Dimas basses from the late 1970s, the Pro-Mod Series San Dimas PJ IV Electric Bass Guitar emerges with a sleek alder body shape. This design, renowned for its deeper cutaway, offers bassists effortless access to the upper-register. The bass guitar features a super-thin bolt-on maple Charvel speed neck, crafted in the original style. This neck is enhanced with a rich caramelized treatment, graphite reinforcement, and a heel-mount truss rod wheel for easy adjustments. The Pro-Mod San Dimas Bass PJ IV is equipped with a 12"-16" compound radius caramelized maple fingerboard that gradually flattens from nut to heel. This design ensures fast, smooth playing and is complemented by rolled edges, 20 jumbo frets, and Luminlay side dots for enhanced visibility in low-light settings.True to the original models, this electric bass guitar boasts the dynamic voice of DiMarzio pickups. A Model J at the bridge delivers a well-rounded punch, while a Model P in the middle provides a warm, fat tone with a distinctive midrange growl when pushed. The guitar's versatile electronics include a three-band active EQ, pickup blend control, and a master volume control with a push/pull selector. This unique feature eliminates the risk of losing sound due to a dead battery. A quick pull on the volume knob bypasses the EQ's active circuit, allowing you to regain sound from the bass without the use of battery power. The Pro-Mod San Dimas Bass PJ IV also features a Charvel HiMass bridge, Graph Tech TUSQ XL nut, and open-gear tuners. These components work together to provide stellar tuning stability and improved note punch and sustain. This 4-string bass guitar is available in vibrant Lime Green Metallic and Mystic Blue finishes. It's adorned with chrome hardware, cream pickup covers, and a licensed Fender Precision Bass headstock shape, adding a touch of classic elegance to its modern design.
