An older computer was unable to upgrade to the most recent build of Microsoft Windows 11 Home, and with it being an older computer, I figured that a Linux Mint installation would give it a new lease on life. Installing the Crucial BX500 1TB 3D NAND SATA 2.5-inch SSD was very simple, and I was able to get Linux Mint installed without any issues. Thanks to the speed of the Crucial BX500 1TB 3D NAND SATA 2.5-inch SSD, my old computer performs much faster than when Microsoft Windows 10 Home was installed on it.

This purchase was truly a blessing my son‘s laptop hard drive went bad. I ordered this Crucial SSD, and the price was right, on top of that, I trust the company as I’ve used their product many times before. Absolutely a great buy would recommend to anyone. I got lucky and was able to copy his old hard drive onto the new SSD not gonna lie. It took over 17 hours to do but again I got lucky didn’t have to reinstall windows and all of his drivers nothing.

I used to delete some apps from my computer just to have new ones until I bought this. I was able to download every app I wanted and more with plenty extra space left on my computer with this 1TB of space.

Bought it to use inside a USB enclosure as an external drive to backup some important files. Data transfers fast as expected... works great!

good speeds, good amount of storage. nice upgrade for old laptops to keep them going for a while longer. Note that it doesn’t come with any cables, so if you need to copy your old ssd or hdd over you should probably get a USB to SATA adapter too, they’re not too expensive. make sure they’re fitted for 2.5” SSDs.

I recently picked up the Crucial BX500 1TB Internal SSD (SATA), and I’m honestly amazed at how affordable solid-state storage has become. For the price, it delivers great performance and reliability, especially for my use case — storing and managing 4K video surveillance footage. Installation was quick and straightforward, and the BX500 was immediately recognized by my system. While it’s not the fastest SSD on the market compared to NVMe options, for SATA it’s fast, efficient, and stays cool under continuous operation. The fact that I can now get a full terabyte of reliable solid-state storage for this price is pretty remarkable. Overall, the Crucial BX500 is a fantastic value — dependable, quiet, and perfect for applications like surveillance, backups, or general storage without breaking the bank.

My older HP Envy had gotten so slow over the 8 yrs I've had it. I tried every suggestion that I had researched online, and my HP maintenance tools reported the original HDD was performing perfectly, but I was ready to give up. I then decided I'd try this Crucial SSD unit since it was under $100 at the time, I had to learn a little bit about cloning the old HDD onto it and then install it. It fit perfectly and the SATA plug-in was exact fit. Biggest issue involves the partial disassembly of the laptop, which was a little troublesome, but doable, even for an old guy with minimal skills Final results are amazing! Runs better than when new.

It fit perfectly into my old Dell laptop and is running Ubuntu like a champ. All of the screws lined up. The connector lined up and plugged in without any issues. It fit into the available space and the computer case went back on with ease. Literally, plug and play. It loaded Ubuntu 24 and runs like new. Windows 11 wasn't an option due to the age of this computer.

My computer is 8 yrs old and slowed way down, to a stop! Best Buy suggested this drive, installed it quickly and BAM! My computer runs better than new. Great drive. Fast, reliable and quick to boot up/shut down. Would definitely buy again if needed.

Installation was easy, it only took 2 wires, and the speed is awesome.

I came into the Braintree shop not sure I will find help for my very old laptop. The agent attended to me quickly, respectfully and professionaly. She gave me the best advise for my oldie, which is to change the drive. The product was the best in the store on that day; it was an exact fit for what I had earlier. And it was economical enough, I didnt have to break the bank. Above all, the product has brought life to the appliance. Before the replacement, the computer was very slow but now it has pickced up again.

I used this to replace a magnetic drive in an old laptop. It made it boot faster and gave it new life. Recommended!
