Crystal Shawanda pours her heart and soul into her music because it is her lifeline. A Native American, Crystal grew up on the Wikwemikong Indian Reserve in Ontario, Canada. Her last name, Shawanda, literally translates into the album title, DAWN OF a NEW DAY and a new day is what music has given Crystal. Music was her source of hope growing up on a reservation. So it makes sense that Crystal can deliver an album with the type of honesty and sincerity that make her relatable to any audience.
