I'm not sure if mine is a unique case, but I haven't been happy with the coffee this machine brews from the very beginning. After trying many brands and regions of coffee beans, I've deduced that this machine is heating the water so much that it's making all the coffee taste the same bland, ashy cooked way. I looked to see if there was a way to adjust the heat and don't believe there is. I love that thete is a burr grinder built in because I felt the taste of freshly brewed coffee would be worth the noise in the morning however I feel this machine costs way too much for the very mediocre coffee it produces. Also, I believe the boiling water makes a mess of the coffee basket and filter bc it seems to be hitting the filter in a steam and boiling water combo. Will look to troubleshoot with the geek squad crew or eturn for a better product. Giving it 3 rather than 2 stars in case my machine's is just faulty.

I’m a huge advocate for a good cup of morning joe to get the day going. I thought I was taking the next step in getting a self grinding coffee machine. The overall coffee taste is what I was hoping for, however, there are many fatal flaws with the overall product. The pot itself leaks constantly every time I have to refill the machine as well as during every cup I pour. It’s just a couple of drops but it very annoying to have to wipe the counter after every new cup. The strength button, which I was hoping was an upgrade from a standard guess in coffee grounds, fails to function properly. As a direct result I burn through coffee beans as quick as I can buy them. Cuisinart really let me down with this product.

Absolutely love this grind and brew! I originally had the more expensive model which wore out after many years. I reluctantly decided to purchase this model because the more expensive model had doubled in price. I absolutely love this model so much better. The brewed coffee is perfect. The machine cleans itself. The grinder is loud but not as loud as the more expensive model. The only bummer for me is that the coffee pot isn't thermal. But it's a very small trade off to save $200 dollars.

Pretty average in terms of getting to know how to use it. Take a bit of re-reading the manual given that it’s not too clear in its instructions. Could be better programmed to get you desired cups as well as strength instead of just putting strength and it brewing all the water you have in the container. All in all, really loving it so far!

Makes a very good cup of coffee! Easy to clean. Love that it grinds fresh beans just before you brew.

This is an excellent coffee machine. I enjoy a good cup of coffee and was waiting for my Keurig to break before investing in a new machine. I found this one online and compared it to other machines including new model Keurig machines. What drew me to this one was the self grinding and brewing. It grinds the coffee right before brewing, which makes coffee taste its best. Cleanup is super easy, not as easy as Keurig but worth the extra minute. I also spend less on coffee. If you like a good cup of joe, this machine blows Keurig out of the water.

This machine makes great coffee and is easy to use and clean. It is not the most intuitive device to figure out but easy enough when you get the hang of it. It only brews coffee in 2 cup increments, so no odd numbers. The minimum brew amount is 4 cups.

I purchased this to replace an older model that was starting to jam frequently. The new design has some great improvements including a larger caraffe and much easier to read display. It was easy to set up the automatic brewing. The new design also is easier to clean and looks less likely to jam up. The coffee it has made thus far has been great.

Love this. Nice fresh ground beans make a fresh cup of coffee. My only complaint is it and loud when grinding for 10 seconds. We have it programmed to grind and brew in the morning. It starts abruptly with no warning. A warning beep would be nice so I don’t jump. Lol

Love this coffee maker. Makes great coffee from freshly ground coffee beans. Upgraded from a previous Cuisinart model with built in grinder. Does not clog up with coffee grinds like previous model. Has a glass carafe. Bad spout design as it always spills some coffee on the counter is my only complaint.

This unit is the best in grinder/brewer/ hit coffee makers. It gas a hopper on top that holds the beans and a nice flat lid that seals in the freshness. The unit is attractive on the counter and it is easy to clean. Use ground coffee or beans either way. I recommend using no paper filter as the filter it comes with is superior to paper filters.

I have used the Cuisinart Grind & Brew Coffee Makers for over 20 years. Cuisinart has always produced quality small appliances. But this new and improved DGB-800 Cuisinart - Burr Grind & Brew 12-Cup Coffee Maker is the best to date. It automatically dispenses the right amount of coffee directly in the brew filter with no separate grinder to clean. Just rinse the coffee pot and filter basket and you're done. The quality of the Burr grind makes the coffee taste great.

I had a previous Cuisinart coffee maker with grinder in it that I was satisfied with but it was time for an update. The burr grinder with a large hopper is a real plus. The controls work well and the display is easy to read. Cleanup is easier than my previous coffee maker with grinder. As an added bonus, it makes a great cup of coffee!

Makes amazing, fresh coffee from whole beans and easy to use. You can set times for the coffee to brew which is a plus. Its durable and comes with a replaceable filter which is handy. Highly recommended.

Bought this because I regularly get whole beans that I have to grind separately. With this, it is super easy to grind just the right amount and really get the most out of my product. The outcomes have always been delicious (comparable to local professional brewing) and I am real satisfied with it.

Fantastic grind and brew coffee maker. Easy to use! Hardest part is figuring out which coffee to buy. Also, great that I can brew regular ground whenever I want as well. Love it.

I have owned a Cuisinart Grin and Brew 700 for the past 12 years and have been very pleased with the product. 2 weeks ago it stopped working and I began researching another coffee maker. I considered the Black and Decker, several more expensive brands and even a separate grinder, However since I have always loved the ease of my Cuisinart Grind and Brew, in spite of several negative reviews, I decided to order the 800. I have had this product for week now and I LOVE IT! I have had none of the leak or drip problems in previous reviews. The coffee tastes great and clean up could not be easier. So happy I went with Cuisinart again! Highly recommended!

We have had this machine for a little over a month now and love it! It is everything we were hoping for in a self grinding coffee maker. Looks good, works great and makes a wonderful cup of coffee.
