I chose this model over the 1500 VA unit basically over weight and power requirements. I have two Synology NAS servers plugged into this 18 pound unit with plenty of backup time, enough to shut the servers down gracefully in a power event. It fits great in my 15U rack too.

Wanted a form factor that would fit in my cabinet and under my computer. This unit fits right in. Only reason I gave it a four instead of a five is that it came with the batteries already connected. APC always requires the end user to connect the batteries before use.
