Is this pure sine wave or stepped sine wave? I have a PFC PSU and the current UPS (APC BR1500G Pro) will not maintain power during the switch over from power to battery.

Can you turn off the alarms at the firmware level?
Answered by TechSupportYes. On the PFC Sinewave 1500VA UPS, the audible alarm can be disabled by the user. Simply press and hold the MUTE button for about 2 seconds until you hear two beeps. The MUTE icon will appear on the LCD, indicating that the audible alarm has been turned off. You can re-enable it the same way. Please note that this is a user-configurable setting and not a firmware modification. The alarm setting is managed through the UPS controls and LCD interface. Thank you for considering CyberPower!
Is this 900w or 1000w? The manufacturer website says 1000w bestbuy says 900w.

In a lightning strike, if the UPS is unable to keep running and still protect the computer equipment, will it auto-shutoff

If a lightning strike or other severe power event causes the UPS to switch to battery backup, it will continue powering your connected equipment until utility power returns or the battery becomes depleted. Once the battery is exhausted, the UPS will automatically shut off. Please keep in mind that while the UPS provides surge protection and battery backup, no surge protector or UPS can guarantee protection against every lightning event, particularly a direct lightning strike or an extremely large surge. Is the battery covered under the 3 year warranty, or is it 1 year or something else?

You do not have a separate or reduced battery warranty period. If the battery fails due to defects within the 3 years, it is eligible for warranty replacement.
