Terrific 1987 fantasy feature starring Michael E. Knight (All My Children), Phoebe Cates ((Fast Times At Ridgemont High), and the luminously beautiful Emmanuelle Beart. This movie has NEVER looked better than it does on Blu Ray. Criticized as a rip off off “Splash” upon its release, this was actually written way before but not produced until the late 80’s. Jim Sanders (Michael E. Knight) is getting ready for his upcoming marriage to rich, spoiled Patty Winston (Phoebe Cates). But after a wild bachelor party he wakes the next morning to find a beautiful winged woman (Emmanuelle Béart) floundering in his pool. It turns out that the gorgeous woman is actually an angel. Funny, heartfelt, and totally enchanting. This film features a fantastic score which includes Russell Hitchcock of Air Supply, Steve Winwood, The Cars, Men Without Hats, and many more. The director Tom McCloughlin (Friday the 13th Part 6: Jason Lives), has a great commentary Included on the disc, that was recorded in April of 2020 during the Covid-19 quarantine. He reveals many things about the film (Jim Carrey) was turned away by the producer for the lead role for being too ugly! Great movie-one of my all time favorites!

Finally one of my favorite movies comes to Blu Ray. Sadly the quality was sub par. The transfer to Blu Ray was sub standard. The only benifit to owning this versus the Original DVD release is the durability of the Blu ray disc. I expected better, but apparently DEG had sold the rights to the film.

Great movie!! An eighties romantic comedy. If you haven't seen it before to classic. Done pretty well in Blu-ray but nothing special like no outtakes or anything that's why I got a 4 out of five

I thoroughly enjoyed watching this movie again, after all those years. I used to watch Michael E. Knight in All My Children. This was his first leading movie role, in a rom/com movie.

Not a bad movie, but considering how little well known it is, all credit must go to Anchor Bay for releasing this one in its proper anamorphic widescreen ratio, rather than just dumping it onto dvd in the cheaper full-frame format, as is most usually the case for films of this caliber.

This movie was well put together but the acting could have been better.
