Overall it was a great older movie. I loved the storyline, and so it was a good to buy for an upgrade to Blu-ray.

I'm a huge fan of George A. Romero and his culture conscious Horror films. He is an ingenious writer and director and the creator of the zombie genre as we know it. Nothing Zombie would exist without Romero. I've owned Day of the dead on virtually every media standard throughout the years, and have even owned multiple DVD versions, as well as the previous Blu-ray release. I can honestly say after owning this film at least 5 times...nothing compares to the Scream Factory/Shout Factory release! These guys cater to the fans, great new features as well as sometimes even tracking down the rights to original songs that have been stripped out of certain films. Their film releases definitely cost a bit more, but wow are they worth it. This is a definite buy whether it's your first viewing or your 100th!

Great movie, the acting is a bit over done/poor. Not bad enough to ruin the film. A great power struggle of different types of people under an apocalypse end of the world scenario. The special effects are all practical and outstanding. Depending on the day, this or Dawn of the Dead (Romero’s version, the remake was good, but original is still better IMO) take turns at the top spot of zombie movies. Highly recommended if you enjoy a gory zombie movie with symbolism for the times.

Day Of The Dead, while not perhaps the most well-known of all of the zombie films out there, is nevertheless one of the best. The effects are dazzling and the film is permeated with a kind of nihilistic dread and fatalism that really add something more unsettling than usual to a film of this particular sub-genre. As a whole, I do recommend Day Of The Dead highly to anyone with an interest in horror and/or zombies and would also like to add that the transfer here is excellent and most worthy indeed.

I originally watched Romero's "dead" series in a strange order starting with the latest film (at the time) Land of the Dead first. When I finally got around to Day of the Dead I was already a fan of the series but this one really helped me get even more into this series. This is one of my favorite releases by Scream/Shout Factory. Great features, great cover art, great video transfer...it's a wonderful release!

While I may be a little biased, this movie is a classic! It was actually one of my favorites from Romero's zombie films. The characters' reaction to the plague seemed to be one of the most natural and believable and the conventional effects in this version simply can't be matched with CGI. While I've purchased this movie on several other formats, it has never looked better than on BD.

This is the third movie in George Romero's zombie trilogy. At this point zombies have taken over the world and the few remaining humans are huddled together trying to fight off the hordes of the undead. This movie is by far the bleakest and most grim of the three, but it does offer a slim ray of hope for the future. And the best part of the movie is that I was one of the actors in it! Look for me, I'm the clown zombie.

Day of the dead is a cult classic film from the one and only George Romero. Though not as highly regarded as Night and Dawn, I liked this just as much. The characters and actors are great. If you like your horror with comedy, this is for you. Great bonus features! Documentary and commentary plus more

Great movie! The Blu Ray looks and sounds great. You can't go wrong here for the price. I hadn't seen it since I was a kid, so it was nice to be able to add it to my collection.

With the passing of George Romero recently. It seems more important than ever to relive the zombie classic. The best acting? Nah but Dag of the Dead still shows George not only can could deliver the scares but a poignant, social massages.

Another great Scream Factory release. Great sounds and picture and I loved the new Doc on there called At Worlds End. It's kinda bitter sweet knowing we just lost Romero but this set is an amazing one to honor this underrated gem

Perhaps politics and zombies should avoid each other, but I fell like Romero didn't make it too overwhelming even if the undertones are clearly there. It's a good, not great, Zombie movie before we were inundated with Zombies everywhere we look. The bonuses, as always, are top notch.

While Dawn of the Dead is my all time favorite zombie movie, Day is still pretty good. Sure the zombies look goofy compared to today's but you gotta respect Romero. The real villains are the lunatic military guys lol
