Sound quality and noise cancellation is wow but end up returning as the case wasn't charging the buds. Charging case has only one light to show battery health and user manual says three lights.

Okay sounds, light on bass compared to other normal consumer iems, uncomfortable and bulky fit. Slow connection with app, bad design in that area.

I really wanted to love these Denon earbuds, but there are too many issues. Let's start with the good... The build quality and aesthetic are both excellent. I love the pill-shaped charger. The earbuds are held securely in place, charging is quick for both the case (via USB-C) and the earbuds. There are external lights to indicate when charging is complete. The hinge is strong, secure, and stays open / closed. The earbuds themselves look amazing and so, so premium. The blacked out color, especially the metal banding, simply look fantastic. Pairing was super easy to my iPhone 15 ProMax running the latest version of iOS Developer Beta. I've had no issues with lost connectivity. Of note, you are limited to pairing with two devices. The Denon app, which I highly suggest you download, adds even more function and the ability to customize the earbuds to your preferences. The app will perform and setup a customized hearing profile based on your ability to hear different frequencies. It will then display this information and customize the audio playback to your unique hearing. This is pretty awesome technology. Within the app you can adjust the ProEQ, spacial audio, volume limiter, voice prompts, earbud button push toggle actions, immersion mode, and much more. The sound quality is excellent! Spatial audio does not seem quite to the level of my pods from the fruit company, but it definitely does work. Noise cancelling is some of the best I've used. It does a great job of closing out external noise, and the level of cancellation can be adjust within the app. Music has the clear highs and thumping lows without the tin-like reverb of lesser quality devices. Calls come through clean and clear, and I've had no issues hearing or being heard. Pressing the earbuds triggers actions that are set by you such as answering / ending calls, skipping tracks, changing volume levels, etc. These are easy to trigger and work just as intended. So with so many good things to say, why the 3 star rating? First, the earbuds are difficult to remove from the charging case. When seated in the charging cradle they sit just above the level of being flush. This minimal height doesn't allow for easy removal with just the finger, it really requires using your nail to "scoop" the earbuds out. However, the absolute biggest problem, by far, has been the inability of the earbuds to stay seated in my ears. On multiple occasions the earbuds have simply fallen out - even while sitting and not moving. I believe there are several reasons for this - one being the overall weight of the earbuds. These seem to be a bit heavier than the multitude of other earbuds I've used. The weight combined with the design pack a one, two punch for falling out of the ear. These earbuds do not seat properly in the ear. The round design limits the depth at which they can be inserted, therefore they tend to "hang" out of the ear. In no way would I trust these during any sort of physical activity. I've never had this issue with any other earbuds and I've tried everything to fix this issue. So no matter how excellent the sound quality is, if they don't stay in the ear they become useless. So, unfortunately I find it difficult to recommend these earbuds, and that is disappointing. There is so much to like, but for me it's a no-go due to the fit and falling out of the ear issues.
