I purchased two of these for my kiddos, for Christmas. It was the best present this year. My kids are 7 and 4. This product can be a bit complex for kids 5 and under due to the specific way the connector pieces must be positioned before connecting each bar so parental supervisor will be highly recommended for those ages. 6 and up may do fine with a bit of guidance at the start. With some patience and imagination, you're hard work won't go unglorified! My kids have fun playing in little houses, buses, igloos and rocket ships. I'm glad I got two sets, because you can build amazingly large structures with double the pieces. After use, I recommend keeping it out of sight for a week or two, then bring it back to keep the excitement fresh. As a dad, I think I had just as much fun constructing as the kiddos.

This product is a lot of fun. Some of the balls are hard to build with. The holes can be too tight or too loose. Requires adult or older child to build. Also need to be careful how you push the poles into the plastic connectors. My husband broke a rod because they are flexible and the connectors holes were a bit tight.

too hard to get the poles into the balls. keep falling out. the instructions suggest something about which holes to use if you want to end up building a certain shape... makes no sense. can't even ascertain which groves they are referring to not that it would matter as you end up just trying to get anything to stick in place. It is a great concept though. I guess I just have higher expectations - if the manufactures have a good idea why not test it out and make sure it actually is easy to use right? Although I am annoyed there is no similar product that I could find anywhere so I will keep it as the creative play appeals to me and my boy is patient and I tell him not to push / pull on the structure.

I was surprised to find this at Best Buy, but glad because all other stores ran out before Christmas. Ordered online to pick up in the store and it even arrived early. My kids are 5 and 7 and could put it together by themselves, but it can easily come apart just by bumping it. The poles are plastic, but fairly sturdy. I'd like it a little more if the poles did not come out of the connectors quite so easily.

I highly recommend this product if you looking to spend some quality time with your little builders because young lads cannot build forts on their own. When its all said and done the kids love the fort. The set should come with more fort designs there are only about 4 or 5 different designs. Overall it's a good product.

hard to insert plastic poles in to the ends. Kids played with the first few days but have not touched since.

My kids love to make forts with blankets and furniture. This toy lets them expand on that. They can make all sorts of different types of forts and, when they couple that with my sons bunkbed, makes for hours of fun and its great for sleepovers, too.

We bought two sets so we could build a diet for two kids to play in. One set is not enough room for kids to play in. Both sets had flaws. The connection sticks would not for into the connector balls as the hikes where to big. Do not buy this unless you want it to fall apart the minute you create anything.

Kids and adults could not build with this product, much less put a sheet or blanket on it to build a fort. The rods may just be too long to work with it. Great idea but needs to be changed. Product has already been returned to Best Buy.

5yo's DO NOT have the strength to put this together so I had to. Then after assembled both 5yo's could barely fit! They did not like it and had more fun ta king it apart! THIS TOY IS TOO HIGH PRICED FOR ITS PURPOSE. The toy should be geared more for toddlers not 5yo+. Nothing more disappointing to hear my kids say they wanted this all yr long and then hate it once I assembled it! WASTE OF MOnEY AND TIME!!! I want a refund!

I got this from a friend and the instructions were missing but it was super easy to assemble. My 2yo and 5 yo helped design what we made (it is too hard for them to do on their own). The designs on the box make small but neat structures. We usually make a 3 sided unit and use blankets and furniture around it. We did not have issues with not being able to put the rods in. One or two did slip out so we just rotated the connector. I would like to see more pieces included or a few longer rods added so you can make a crossbeam for a more solid structure (we found comforters too heavy for the structure to withstand).

Instructions are not clear. Falls apart easily. Not meant for a 5 year old to construct.
