We installed this on our covered patio and the picture is outstanding-- clear, bright and colorful. It was easy to get it up and running with my existing WiFi and Sonos speakers. The unit is extremely heavy, though, so we needed 4 people to attach it to the wall bracket that is 7 feet off of the ground. Overall, very happy with this unit.

Very heavy and durable. However, even in a shaded area, it has a glare during the day. The TV though operates like it should and has good sound just not good for during the day even in a fully shaded area. Good picture otherwise

I bought the DuraPro 55″ Outdoor TV about a month ago for our backyard patio, and overall, I’ve been really happy with it — though there are a couple of things I wish I’d known ahead of time. First off, the picture quality is fantastic. Even during the day, the screen is bright and clear, and the 4K resolution makes movies and sports look sharp. I wasn’t expecting this kind of clarity outside, especially with the sun out, but it handles glare much better than I thought it would. Colors pop, and the sound is surprisingly decent for a TV in a metal weatherproof case.

To make a long story short, DuraPro does not sell replacement parts, and because they are a small TV manufacturer, NOBODY ELSE DOES EITHER. If anything goes wrong, you will not be able to fix this TV. The TV quit working after about 25 hours of usage. Why didn't the warranty cover it? Because the warranty had just expired by the time we finally got the TV working properly. It's wifi receiver was so pathetic that it took several months before we could actually watch anything. Initially, I tried to fix it by upgrading our internet, but that didn't work. Then, I had the internet company out to install a wifi extender in a window just several feet from the patio, but that didn't work either. And eventually, I had to tear up the yard by digging a trench to run the internet directly to the TV. And FINALLY, we had a working television...for several weeks until the picture died. So I began watching videos and reading about how to fix the television. It wasn't as complicated as it sounds because aside from the screen, there are really just a few little circuit boards that can be easily replaced. I then called DuraPro and asked to purchase the parts. They seemed nice, and told me that the TV was no longer covered by warranty. I acknowledged this, and explained that I was just looking to purchase replacement parts. They said that there was nothing they could do, and that they don't sell parts to anyone. I was frustrated, but figured I could find the parts somewhere on the internet. So, I spent many hours trying to find the exact parts and similar parts that might be compatible, but had no luck. So here I am, a little over a year since spending the most money I've ever spent on a TV, hoping I can at least warn others not to make the same mistake I did. If I could go back in time, I spend a few more bucks and buy LITERALLY any brand besides DuraPro. And just in case anyone at DuraPro is reading this and wants to do right by a customer, please go grab me one of those little main boards that probably only costs a few dollars to manufacture, and sell it to me! I'll pay a few hundred bucks for it, and take down this review! David R.

This TV is much brighter then a standard indoor TV. The picture is vibrant and the sound is better than expected. The enclosure is solid and looks like it will handle the weather. There is still a glare, but with the brightness it is not as bad as the standard indoor TV we replaced. I think the only thing that would make this unit better would be a matt screen to eliminate the glare.

The price is fair for outdoor TV prices, but it was just about unwatchable under a covered patio during the day. The reflection was really bad and the overall picture quality was subpar. At night was fine and plenty bright but for someone that likes watching games outside, I didn't feel like seeing my fence and chairs in the screen. On a very cloudy day, it wasn't as bad but there are other TV's that have anti glare or reduced glare as this one DOES NOT.

I would not call this a retail store, especially BestBuy, quality TV. First of all I buy TVs from BestBuy because they take very good care handling and delivering their TVs. This TV was only available to be shipped directly from the manufacturer. IT IS HEAVY! I mean 3 to 4 times the weight of a plasma of equal size! For it's weight I believe it should have been packed in a box with wood supports and serious styrofoam, it was not. The box looked pretty bad, like maybe it had been returned once, but no. It is poorly packaged from the manufacturer and bound to get damage during shipping. So of course when we unpackage it there are dings on the back, scratches on top and a cracked screen on the bottom where it was obviously picked up with a fork lift because is too heavy for a lot of people to lift. Spend more, go smaller with a different brand, or get a bright Samsung but this is not a deal it is a hassle!

I had a horrible time trying to connect to the internet with this tv and Best Buy told me to contact the manufacturer and the manufacturer, I contacted Best Buy and it’s not my local store but someone in Asia. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER

Although it may be pricey it is totally worth the price. The quality of picture it’s insane and it creates a whole new atmosphere for watching television. I defiantly recommend this to anyone.
