I was impressed with the volume and quality of the sound with this mic. This is the first PC mic. I've used, so I wasn't sure what to expect at this price. I do have Realtek Audio Manager on my PC, so I was able to tweak the setting to my desire, including increasing the Mic. Boost to +10.0dB. I also swiveled the mic. the opposite way in the stand, to gain reach, and put it on top of a CD case for elevation. The sound is great, and same with the playback. With my setting I was able to speak and record clearly at approx. 5".

I recently purchased this microphone and while it's not perfect I'm happy with it. It's a good line-in mic, but there are a couple of things to be aware of before buying. I haven't had any problems with the build quality, but the stand is very light and the arm that holds the mic up looks like it could break quite easily. As long as you be careful with it it shouldn't be a big deal though. One problem I had (using Windows 7) was that the quality was very poor when I first started using it. I highly recommend going into the Sound control panel and shutting off Echo Cancellation in Microphone Effects as that severely limits the sound range. Just shutting that off made a huge difference in quality. Hopefully that helps you if you're having that problem. Other than that I'm very satisfied with the microphone. Sound quality is very good for the price and there's no setup at all: just plug it into a line-in jack on your computer and you should be up and running.

For the price, you shouldn't expect top quality hardware. You plug it in, it works, and that's pretty much the end of it. Be aware, though, that the cable is fairly short (4' instead of the usual 6'), so it may not fit your particular setup. The sound quality is decent, as long as you turn on the mic boost, and the range is decent (Works well from 1-2 feet away). The physical construction of it, however, is about what you'd expect for this price. The stand is sturdy enough, but the swivel is weak (Vertical only, and started to slip within a couple months for me). The microphone itself is easy to break (Knocked to the floor once, and the arm cracked), but if you play nice with it, it should last long enough for the price.

Microphone that works. No frills. Nothing special. I use it because my microphone in my laptop doesn't work. Works fine for any video chatting. No issues with making it work on a windows 7 laptop. Pretty much a plug&play. Minor adjustments might be needed in the sound control center. Two Minor issues: (1) the actual structure is flimsy. A drop onto a hard floor might break it. (2) you have to hold it a few inches from your mouth for it to work well. Not really a problem for me, but it might seem unprofessional, if that's important to you. Overall, it works, it's inexpensive, and that's really all i needed.

It is a pretty good microphone. I recommended net for the price and quality, but then again it's not a professional microphones about expect too much for the price. I am actually reading that review using speech recognition software that came with my computer, and I'm using this microphone to record that. After you train your microphone there are fewer mistakes so just came out pretty good. However you may need to disconnect the microphone from the stand in order for it to be a better heard. But that didn't bother me too much, because I expected to do so all the background noise and I have where my computer is and my microphone. If he does when a microphone to do something small such as the speech recognition program or for usteam, as I am using it, then I say buy it.

It is a simple plug and talk system. All you have to do is just connect to your desktop or Laptop and start using the product. It picks up what we speak even from a distance. The look and feel of the product is excellent I would recomend for any one to buy.

I read other reviews on this mic and I decided to get it. I'm glad I did. It's awesome. People on Ventrilo told me that I finally sounded clear and that I "finally stepped out of that waterfall". The mic itself is longer than I thought it would be, which is a plus. Unfortunately, that's canceled out by the slightly short cord. That's okay because it picks up sound very very well. I had to turn it down by 80% to make it perfect for Ventrilo. I play bass guitar and I wanted to see how well this mic recorded me playing. It did great. I was able to hear just a little too much. (You know, those mistakes....) Overall, this is the best computer mic that I've ever used and I would totally recommend it to anyone who wants something that will get the job done.

This is a great microphone for the price. If you're looking for an inexpensive microphone that gets the job done, this is the one to get. Also don't be fooled by the stock photo, the neck of the microphone is longer than it appears (which is a nice bonus).

I really love this mic. The sound from it is loud and clear. The only problem is the cord is a little short. I still love it overall. :)

I've been using this microphone for my Japanese chat group which is held over the internet and so far its been great. The sound quality is amazing, just like talking over a telephone, and recording my voice is equally awesome. I researched microphones all over the internet and this one seemed to have a good user rating and a few great reviews so I purchased this product and I've be using it for about a month. If your looking for a microphone for internet karaoke, just recording a podcast, or simply using it for voice chat its amazing and for the price its an offer that shouldn't be passed up. I'd reccomend this product to anyone.

This is a very good quality microphone for the low price that it is. It is very easy to set up, and works extremely well. The price is also excellent. I would highly recommend this to anyone whi is going to be preforming some basic recording with their computer. This is a supreme product!

I wish the cord was a tad bit longer, but for the money its a darn good microphone! At first you may have to go into your settings for your pc to recognize it though, seeing as how it comes with no software.

I’d been toying with the idea of getting a computer microphone for awhile before I really got around to it. Since the actual user reviews are the only things worth basing anything on, I noticed that this particular mic was getting a bunch of positive ones and decided to buy it. It’s just like having a phone conversation! And as for setup, when I first opened the box I was totally prepared to have to go through hoops to get it to work, but all there was to do was plug it in and record on my computer. O.O

It was so easy to set up all I had to do was plug it in. It has an excellent price who wouldn't buy it? Its almost like talking over the phone. You can hear the other person talking crystal clear.

its not really a bad mic. to buy. every thing about it is good except you have to have your mouth about 5 in to talk. I like how it rotates 360 deg. and up and down.the mic part that comes out, the only thing i didnt like about that was its not flexible.

Excellent microphone for voice recording and voice-recognition software. I highly recommend this to anyone who is going to be preforming some quality voice recording with their computer.

The mic could be longer in length. Product itself looks flimsy. Afraid it be break if and when it falls to the ground. Sound quality is average. You get what you pay for.

You have to lean way in to get your lips right up to the mic for it to even pick up your voice. When I first hooked it up, I did a test recording and could just make out my voice, even when I put my voice right up to the mic. Then I realized that I hadn't changed the recording source and I was still using the mic on my webcam, and that is 8 feet away. I changed the source and realized that the webcam picked up my voice better than the mic that was 8 inches away. I did all the adjustments I could in control panal with no improvment. Totally usless and a complete waste of money. I would have given it zero stars if they'd let me.
