Love my Dyson I order one when I have to change the filter. That way i always keep a spare filter on hand. Easy to change.

Genuine makes a difference! This filter lasted a year where the knock offs only last a few months if that!

While it isn’t cheap, you only have to change this filter somewhere between 6 and 12 months, not every 3 like some machines do. I got a blue Dyson heater/fan/air purifier that dehumidifies the home last year on Black Friday due to living in Washington where there are wildfires so bad that in 2020 we had not only a pandemic but also smoke that was toxic in my town and we had to seal our doors and windows and stay inside. With my allergies and asthma, I decided to not use my cheaper machine and go for the best. I am glad I did, even though luckily we didn’t have wildfire toxic smoke this summer. This is due to having 77% humidity and 115 degrees instead. The fan dehumidified my apartment so well, that along with sun blocking curtains in just my living room I didn’t die even without owning an air conditioner. In fact my apartment was cooler than my friend’s house with one small AC unit and the “cooling center” at the library! It is obvious this filter however cleans the air fast. I had been running it with this dirty one up to today, and my asthma was getting very bad again. I just now installed the replacement filter and I am feeling so much better already. It cannot be my imagination, because I had the same experience with the original filter too. Not having sinus pain, not as much drainage at night, and even skipping some days my allergy pills or inhaler because I can breathe normally is worth every cent. I only wish everyone could have a living wage job and afford to purchase their own Dyson products and the legitimate replacement filters. Nobody should die from wildfire smoke, or high humidity on hot days. If you have a person in your family who cannot afford one, please consider buying one as a Christmas gift on Black Friday this year. You could save their life.
