Ok but lots of room for improvement
First of all I have played with these for about a day now. I want to first state that I did go to a local Dyson Demo store and made an appointment to try these out. It was an amazing interactive experience and kudos to the gentleman that helped me at the Dallas location at the Dyson Shop at Park Lane. I wanted to get info and interaction with a professional before getting my pair. I finally got my pair and I am a little disappointed to say that Dyson made 2 configurations of the Zone. There is the Zone that comes in one color, like the color here. Also there is the Zone Absolute+. Some of you may be asking what is the difference. The ones from Best-Buy as of May 4, 2023 are just the regular Zone. The Absolute+ come with a different carrying case (that looks amazing and I may add i believe is for $100 and currently sold out) and the flight adapters (didnt see online or if it will be available). I’m sorry Dyson but for $50 more you include these with the Absolute+ and not the regular zones (rip-off). Also they are the exact same headphones just different color and different visor. Next if you are looking super loud headphones these are not it. Yes they go loud and have bass but as a consumer researching these headphones do go to a limited amount of volume to protect your hearing. Now that is up to you but keep in mind the max volume on these headphones protect your hearing. Meaning if you want to listen to super loud and ruin your hearing these headphones won’t allow it. When it comes to pairing the Dyson rep did tell me Android is more easier than iOS and he was spot on with this. When pairing with my iPhone it did glitch out and wouldn’t let me. Remember these are Gen 1 and I’m sure Dyson will be putting out firmware updates quickly but the fix was to restart my phone and uninstall app and repair the headphones but it did take a few tries. I did pair with 1 attempt with Android relatively quickly. I don’t know how I either dropped or the visor fell off and less than one day old and they have a scratch on them already. I will say Dyson did drop the ball on the paint or the material for the chrome part, but I guess improvement will be made in the future. Last part Dyson I really hope you see this and fix this is the future. Not everyone has a small head, when designing this I’m sure you were looking at small heads, not everyone has a small head. Unfortunately I do have a bigger head and with the visor it sometimes detaches when I put it in the transparency mode (lower it). I’m not sure if you will be making bigger visors that cover more of the nose and mouth, but I think people with bigger faces/ nose to mouth ration require bigger visor which I really hope Dyson engineers see this and fix this in the future or come out with a more covered face. Overall these are good headphones. Can you get some for way less of course. Now I will give it to Dyson for being the first in this new category, but I hope future generation/improvements are done relatively quickly. I will say with the purification and having a bigger head/ face I will have to decide if I like keep these, headphones alone they are fine but with the visor Dyson really needs to improve for those with bigger/longer faces. As they are right now and how they fit me I would return them. Also for those wondering the fan does 3 fan speeds and Auto. Is it super breezy not really but I’m sure future generations will have high and more fan speed options. I will say in the lowest speed/ Auto 1 that you can barely tell any air is coming out but with speed 3 it feels relatively low. I know these are all working on rechargeable batteries but battery life is somewhat low on the purifying mode. I know future gens may get slimmer and more air but current models the air is relatively low. Don’t expect fast moving air and the noise cancelling is really well made. I hope this helps those on the fence and they are cool to try and they make a statement but ultimately I feel future models will get better! The app gives you amazing real time data and good information as well!

Meh...save your money
Meh, Sound doesn't get loud enough. Bass is just ok. The noise cancelling is pretty good. The air filtering is neat but not necessary in 99% of Americans lives. They don't filter smells...only particles. So the smelly guy on the subway will still smell bad. You just may not get his Corona. They are kinda heavy. Not fun for gym use. Not worth $1k Mostly a flex. The left speaker started distorting after 10 mins of use.

Definitely a Dyson.
Dyson has entered the headphone scene with their new Dyson Zone cans after extensive research and prototype development. After the first look at the original prototype, you’ll have a real appreciation for just how far the design has come for this gen 1 device. You’ll want to install the MyDyson app to register and set up your headset. Registration is automatic once you pair your headset through the application using its guide. Full control of the fan speed, volume, and a limited equalizer is available in the app. There is also information provided regarding air quality and a volume monitor that includes any outside noises it picks up through the microphones. Putting these on feels like putting a pair of soft pillows around your ears. The pressure and the weight are incredible given the size of this set and are well-suited for extended use. Attaching the visor used to direct purified air to your mouth and nose is easy with the assistance of the installed magnets. One limitation with the visor on is that you cannot rotate the crown of the headphones further towards the back of your head. However, you can easily extend it while attached if it is too close to your face and you would like some more room. I was skeptical at first about the quality of the air purification, but that skepticism was immediately dismissed when I put these to the test. Stronger scents were completely unnoticeable even on the lowest setting with fresh filters. Fans can automatically change speed based on your breathing pattern and will turn off once the headphones have been removed. I do think there could be issues with some people getting dry eyes as a result of using these for longer periods of time at high fan speeds. Doing a test fit/run in person is highly recommended. Fan noise is easily masked when music is playing with noise cancellation active but not so much without. At that point, these headphones are more of a personal air purifier and white noise machine, which may be perfect for some. The sound quality is great, but the volume is limited. You’re not going to feel like you’re at an air-purified concert using these. The comfort and unique air purification capabilities make up for that loss to an extent. Perhaps the biggest letdown during my testing was the battery life. With the volume all the way up and the fans set to the second level of filtering, I watched the battery drain from 70% to 30% while getting through three short matches in Overwatch over the course of less than an hour. With that, I have a hard time recommending these for gaming. Overall, these are great. The cost of entry is as high as you would expect with the name. I think it’s a little hard to knock the price when there really isn’t another product that comes close to this. And personal space with clean air in almost any normal environment is priceless.
